Why is the Mfc digital Membership so expensive?

People buy it to support the club and watch Kayo.

Times are tough.

I've heard it's cheaper for other clubs.

Edited by leave it to deever

I guess MFC is testing the water. If people are prepared to pay more then MFC will make more profit. I'm not sure many people are 'shopping around' and discussing the price with other clubs' supporters.

Are you sure?

Kayo upped its monthly price recently so I suspect they all went up.

As I recall last year most clubs were within $20 or so of each other but I could be wrong.

When you pull it apart they're just selling you Kayo so I suppose some clubs may put on a higher mark up

Cbf looking at every club, but searched 8 of them and they’re all $350, same as us.

Previously they were priced separately, from memory last season GWS’ was comfortably the cheapest. My understanding for this season is that they’re all the same pricing across all 18 clubs; admittedly, I’ve not researched this though.

There used to be really good deals available for digital club memberships that included Kayo. Last season I ditched my usual Kayo subscription for a Demons Digital Membership. I saved $100 and helped out the Dees. Seems that Kayo tightened this 'loophole' so cheaper Kayo is no longer available via club digital memberships.

Thanks for that.

I thought the Lions was cheaper but I could indeed have been wrong.

For what it's worth even with the price increase Kayo is still pretty good value

I share the cost of mine with my next door neighbor.

I don't know if they have any proximity codes to stop this sort of thing but as of the end of last year, my neighbor could still log into my account. I don't know someone can log into another account in a location a fair way from another's.

Thankfully my neighbor is a league fan and our viewing never crashes.

Giving extra money to Mr Murdoch doesn't fill me with cheer.

No apologies to any fans of him.😀

In addition to Kayo what else are you getting? I’ve never heard of digital memberships before.

I think I'll go around kayo and get a digital Membership from the Mfc.

I used to have an interstate Ms bit let it lapse due to financial pressure.

I think I'll get it again just to support the club even if I don't get to any games.

It's not really that much.

No geo restrictions at present. Only a limit on screens at any one time.

Murdoch sold Foxtel (including Kayo) to Dazn last month. I

Anyone else having trouble accessing tickets thru the MFC digital app?

Happened to me last home game against Swans where it makes you link accounts with Ticketmaster then continually says session timed out.

Don't want to line up tomorrow for my ticket!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
