So you've never sat around a serious Board table or understand good governance?

Some demonlanders drive me spare.

Given the remaining Board is largely unchanged Brad can take credit as change agent for sure

Yes I have, and I will tell you something the president doesn't implement anything until the board approves and a president doesn't take all the credit for anything, I was answering a post where it was implied that he has done it all simple as that try reading reading first.

I very much doubt Pert would be leaving, at this point without the Review

Who knows we don't maybe it was like the pies where he was asked to do a poison pill sometimes you have to something that not best for you but in the name of progress.

that's your opinion and your entitled to it but he is still doing work for the club if there was anything untoward he still would not be doing work for the club.

lmfao well of course he is he's consulting, but if you had a business that found he had done anything wrong would you still have him employed?

Transitioning only. The Review wasn’t favourable towards Pert, that is information passed on to me…

Well I'm sorry but that's hearsay but I'm happy to listen if you can prove otherwise.

You still didn't answer my question.

I’ll reserve judgement on Brad however he is off to a good start. I know a number of connections to Brad and have heard mixed messages on his past dealings which have me still slightly skeptical. I hope he continues the way he has started.

I have told you what i know, from a very reliable source. Pert announced his resignation before the review was concluded

A review he was part of…..

He's been open and upfront with the supporters with the happenings of the MFC. As supporters we want to feel included in the direction taken by the club and board. Can't fault him so far,  he's done a lot more for us in recent times than any other President. Keep it going Brad.

Who was president when we won a flag, thought that is more important than writing email every week and that will stop after everything has been implemented to appease the kiddies.

So you keep saying, just because you infer that doesn't make it true, by the way still no answer on my question it's a simple one.

demon3165 No denying that both Kate Roffe and Gary Pert played a big role in our Premiership success, both backed and supported Simon Goodwin  in the lead up to ‘21 and it’s a shame how things have played out since but since Kate and now Gary have left, Brad has stood up to his role as President.

Not sure what Board experience you have but can you  re-write your response so its understandable.

Can I suggest punctuation. Its works great.  And stay away from preparing any meeting minutes and resolutions.

Thanks

Not saying he hasn't stood up but to say but to imply that he has done all these things on his own is ludicrous, that's all I said it was a board decision to do a review full stop.

Brad's achievements in a few short months.

  • Seamless and bloodless transition to lead the Board
  • Drove the FD and Board reviews (and will oversee their implementation)
  • Negotiated the departure of our CEO
  • Facilitated the arrival of Steve Smith (pending voting) and succession plan to be the next Board leader
  • Ended the off-field legal dramas taking the unwarranted heat of our coach and our club.

In a few short months he has neutralised the topics creating negative media attention. 👏👏👏

I will confess I was a bit 'meh' when he joined the Board and thought replacing Roffey was just window dressing.  I was very very wrong!

If he does nothing else he has been incredibly successful in laying the foundations for our stability, growth and success.

Change management is one of the hardest things for any organisation to undertake and Brad hasn't put a foot wrong.

He is uniting a Football club again, that's what he's doing, leading from the front and cutting out the BS.

That's what good leaders do, you don't need to have built a business or ran a multi million dollar company.

He's a born leader.

Doesn't he have a fire safety business. Anyhow, why do you need a board stuffed with CPAs and legal nuggets? What do they know about football clubs?

He is a managing director at his place of work, he was the obvious choice as stand in president as he was a former favorite player and supporters know him more than other board member, and yes he is doing well so far.

Good leaders know how to inspire, great leaders are also great facilitators they get the movers and shakers on board aligned with a clear vision of where they all want to go. Appears this is Brad Green’s moment.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
