Dutchie will probably get the job on Darcy.

Whats wrong with PJ playing on Darcy?

Does the Bulldogs play both Minson and Street? That is the only reason I can see for Holland coming in.

For some reason selection is always disappointing.

more to the point how does ward get a game?

just when i thought things were looking up

tempted not to go now

I agree. Ward in the starting 18? He is in purely for the run factor.

THE BULLDOGS ARE A GOOD RUNNING TEAM. SO LETS PLAY A BLOKE THAT CAN RUN (BUT CAN'T DO MUCH ELSE)! - The thought that went through Daniher's head this week.

Neale, the Bulldogs can run, but they also have the skills to hit targets!

Ward is not the answer. Why does our coach insist on playing a team to 'match' the opposition's strengths? Why can't we pick our best team and let them 'match' us?!

considering that P.Johnson, N. Jones and L.Dunn and 100% certainties to play...

the final spot will come down to one of Warnock, Holland, Frawley and Pickett...

if they decide to go for the extra tall, then it will be extremely interesting to see who of Warnock, Frawley or Holland is favoured to playing as the extra tall defender. If they go the extra tall i suggest it will be holland. If not, then obviously pickett remains in the team...

it just goes to show how much they rate frawley that he was named in the team without even playing a senior game for the zebras and being concussed during his first hitout last week. he was a certain round one starter pre-season and impressed much during preseason, so they must rate this kid...

(though while saying that, Warnock was extremely highly rated 2 seasons ago when he was named to play his first match for the club coming back from a 6 week lay-off and hadnt played a match from the reserves even to that stage... and he didnt turn out too special so...)

Such a bummer about Ricky! :(

I will be furious if Ward gets a run. Hopefully it's a straight swap, Green for Petterd.

Frawley is close, but I don't think they'll debut him after half a game in the VFL reserves. Maybe another week or two.

So I just saw Ward is in the starting 18.

I know that with Petterd, Wheels and Bartram out, we are missing that drive out of the backline, but given that Ward is Mr.Unaccountable, and given that he can't kick, wouldn't it be worth trying Buckley in the back pocket?

Does he have a single defensive bone in his body? Who knows. Is it worth finding out since we're 0-6 and no chance? Absolutely.

Hell, give me Bizzell over Ward!

Now that my rant is over, I'm going to assume that Holland, Pickett and Frawley will miss out.

Clearly Jones, PJ and Dunn are needed, and lets hope that Warnock is given another game.

i find it very strange that they would name frawley on the bench for the afl side after playing only half a game in the sandy reserves in which he got a broken nose, apparently a concussion and the team got belted. sounds like the treatment reserved for an established star. either they rate him very highly or they think someone won't get up and he is the cover. they won't drop pickett. so i think someone will pull out of the 18...

Unfortuantely very true...... maybe Neale and boyz might want to pay attention to this !! from both perspectives, one to emulate, second to stop them. Something that was almost poetic about the Dees has cetainly gone awol for some time..i.e accurate and meaningful disposal, hopefully to return soon :-)

Wheres biz, why is ward there? Holland good choice i recon to play on darcy. Bit worrying seing Jones on the bench, sure hell play but still. Warnock shouldnt get another gig...frawley should but i dont think he will. I recon Moloney will be a late withdrawel personally due to his OP and not risking him on the TD surface. My prediction of thoes Moloney wont play - Jones starting on with P.Johnson, Dunn, Holland, Pickett on bench. Love to see James get a gig, highly unlikely tho

Hmmm..Ward in the team again  . Its a pity about Petterd. I'm not sure whether Bizzel will be any better than Ward, The game has become to quick for him i think. Maybe if he was to play as the third tall behind carroll and Rivers i could understand.

I imagine the Danners isn't playing Newton because he has only p[layed two good games in a row. A few more and he may get a go. Buckley was average on the weekend so thats why he isn't getting a run. Its gonna be a tough game, even tougher with the inept disposal skills of Brown and Ward in the backline.

i hope Newton isn't the new steven armstrong...

armstrong played awesome in sandy every week and when he got picked he got 5 minutes game time only to dropped back down.

lets be honest, if you want to play in danihers team he has to like you

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die!
