Ch7 is the only TV network that openly publicises ground invaders

They never used to. It was frowned upon as it’s seen as encouragement to wannabe pitch invaders. LOL at those security guards, bored to death all night, nek minnit running faster than their unfit legs can carry them, chasing down a half-naked man. Pay packet earned.

Bad result for us. Sydney is such a disappointment.

They've been as limp as a charity wrist band this half.

What the hec was that 50 or did i miss an incursion within the protected zone by player not on the mark? ...

Ump runs in and says "back here!" in a raised voice but not that loud.

Usually they would say "back 1 metre" etc.

But nup.

Then as Swan player turns his head the first time he said "back here" wondering if he was talking to him the ump pins him for 50 in an instant.

one of the worst 50’s ever. he stood the mark where it was taken. did not move. he didn’t hear the little twerp say something so 50. changed the game

embarrassing

To be fair if we missed the players they are, we wouldn’t be much better

Saints raining on Buddy’s parade. 🤣

bad result for us? by the end of the year last years grand finalists could be up and about with players back. they are now unlikely to make finals which is fantastic. if we are worried about playing the Saints we are in trouble

Sydney are a shadow of their form pre GF. At least we’ve got a flag to show from our run, the Swans are going backwards at a rate of knots.

I don't understand it at all

Darn, really wanted Sydney to win.

Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to beat the Pies come Monday to make you feel better

I’m happy for the Saints. In particular, their cheer squad. Really, really nice people who don’t get the kind of support from their club as we do, and they made the trip to Sydney knowing that they haven’t beaten Sydney in Sydney since 2009. Respect.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
