I can confirm that the Uncle’s profile picture is accurate

That's very gracious of you to say so Rod!

Although, even I will admit that the ravages of a hedonistic lifestyle have taken their toll and the dashing bon vivant pictured has declined somewhat.

The AFLNT really are bad. We had to walk past a road train inside the ground (advertising), it was a 3 carriage road train for cattle.

It was full of [censored] and stank terribly.

At least they could have a few haunches roasting on a spit for you

Agree Rod! Very poor organisation and crowd facilities.

Limited catering. Limited toilets. Poor access and exit to the ground. Inexperienced security staff.

One bright feature though. Myself and my GD walked into the corporate area at half time and had a very nice free lunch.

Every year I have been critical of them, but the road train took the cake. It was putrid.

For the second year running (no rain last year) they did not open the Gates onto Gap road (where the service road was closed). This is the most convenient and popular gate to leave.

Instead they funneled all of Crowd onto the street that has their main car park.

It beggars belief how these guys have any employment

Can the Alice Springs experiment for good now. ( Sorry RGRS...)

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
