Nah, such brain stretching  is a way to realise you are too old for your own good .... had no idea about this one.

Over 500 views but only one correct answer and very few attempts.  C'est la vie.  I thought that last clue would make it obvious that all the players in my team share a surname with a bass guitarist.

The meaning behind each clue:

1.  The answer looks fishy    A type of fish is the bass which looks the same (but is pronounced differently).

2.  Usually 4 - but not always.  Bass guitars usually have four strings, but sometimes have five or six.

3.  Fred BASSet cartoon.

4.  Perks.  Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman was born Bill Perks but changed his name.

5.  Jason McCartney.   A blatant nod to Beatle Paul McCartney who played bass in the band.

Here now is the team with the bass players' names:

B:        Ron Carter     Bootsy Collins     Ray Brown

H/B:    Dee Murray     Dave Holland     Donald 'Duck' Dunn

C:        Kim Gordon     Mike Mills     Bruce Thomas

H/F:    Willie Dixon     Mark King     Lewis Johnson

F:        Cliff Burton     Jack Bruce     Geezer Butler

R:        Geddy Lee     Marcus Miller     John Paul Jones

I/C:     Esperanza Spalding     Berry Oakley     Stu Cook     Stanley Clarke

I'm looking forward to a real one: great violinists, cellists, conductors, none of this pseudo music junk...

Who am I? I got into trouble in 2022 for being too Franz Lizst at a restaurant in Prahran.

Let me guess, if I may?

Our daughter has nominated this same restaurant as her birthday celebration event later this month.

Timothy has cracked it!

I'll leave it open for a while for others to ponder.

All Melbourne Cup winning jockeys.

OK, at the risk of WCW letting down my car tyres, I will work on something a bit more unique.

Good remembering @WalkingCivilWar. I'd hope PD would faithfully report that my PM-ing showed I didn't recall it, but, 'post-race', I do realise I felt a nag-ging feeling when it finally came to me... As I did when selecting my Norm Smith coached team. Though that has seemed to prove to be not the case!

It was actually Demonstone who advised me Timothy (very graciously I might add). WCW was mentioned only to ensure I meet the EFFS test. I fear your Norm Smith puzzle may put you at risk. 😰

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
