First correct answer has been submitted by La Dee-vina Comedia.

Incorrect suggestions that may be eliminated are that all the players goaled with their first kick and the odd notion that there is a connection to footwear.  I can't think of a sole reason for the latter.

We have a second correct response, this time from reynolds46.

I believe that this is the first time a winner has shared their name with a member of the team in the teaser.

 

It appears that there has been little movement at the station.

Either it's too hard OR nobody cares OR it's too hard and nobody cares.

Ha, ha. I was the same. When I messaged Demonstone, I said that I didn't think Marcus Whelan won a Brownlow.

Marcus Whelan won his Brownlow in 1939.   

I believe that old dee may have been there.

A slight preference for a weekday, thank you.  But happy to go with what others would like, just a heads up on when it will appear is enough for me.
