We've played the Lions, Crows and North. With ourselves that's the likely top 4.

The only other top 8 side we play for the rest of the year is the Doggies and they've had a soft fixture so far. They're a borderline finals team. Plenty of opportunity for us to improve our percentage

If we avoid injuries and maintain half decent form we should win all our remaining games. Hopefully the Lions drop a game or 2 along the way (they still have North, Crows and Collingwood to play)

The one player we can't replace is Harris. If we are to win it this year she will be to the fore. West has been a revelation and Purcell excellent. They have added much need grunt to our engine room.

We're in good shape

Wow the Bulldogs have had an easy run - Giants, Port, Freo and Hawthorn - 4 of the 5 bottom sides. The only top 8 team they have played is North and they lost.

Lions coughed one up today against Richmond

Top spot there for the taking

Well done Richmond.  Kept Brisbane down in the leaders pack. 18 points to 14!!!

Starce suggested they may have been a bit too pleased with themselves after beating us last week.

Some unbelievably lopsided games, messing with %, could upset final ladder positions!

Great news. I was fearing what the "personal reasons" for her absence could be, but this is surely the very best result. You can feel the love (and surprise!) in that room!

I love the “we were playing with an extra person on the field last Saturday” line. Had all the girls stumped. 😂

Case in point… Yesterday’s annihilation of the Giants.
😬

A great win today against a much improved Freo. Hopefully they can bring the same intensity against the Crows next week

In terms of the run home:

Crows play Freo and Lions next with the Cats and Saints to finish

Lions have to play North, Crows, Hawks and Pies.

Pies have Giants, Freo, North and Lions

It’ll be a tough ask for those teams to win all their remaining games. If I had to pick I’d go for the Crows who seem to be hitting their stride. The Lions game will be huge. I hope they knock 7 bells out of each other.

We have the doggies (who haven’t beaten anyone) Suns, Bombers and Eagles. Suns away could be a banana skin so need to switched on but the other games are at Casey. We should win all our games to finish 2nd at worst. We may even make up percentage to finish top.

Really looking forward to the run in to finals. I think we are very well placed, with good balance across the team. Touch wood we don’t have any bad luck on the injury front.

The size differential between the Crows and the other teams always amazes me

I had the game on in the background just now and assumed the Crows had a breeze at their back in the 1st quarter, but no, they just kick it a good 10 meters on average farther than their opponents due to their size and strength

Game from Freo, they fought like tigers and were ahead at 3 quarter time, but the dam broke inevitably in the last and the Crows ran over the top of them

Crows' brute strength very difficult to combat. They are looking very ominous

Hoping North can beat the Lions in this evening's game

We made this Progress Pride flag for this week’s banner…

Watching the 2nd qtr of the Brisbane V Adelaide game and AFLW has officially reached a new standard. Fast, clean skills and some great overhead marking.

Agree. Very good game. Pity there's no crowd there to watch it.

Dominant performance from the Lions last night. Very impressive. they are rightful favourites to win it. They move the ball well, are a match for anyone on the inside and have plenty of outside run. They're going to be hard to beat

It seems (at this stage anyways) our HOME finals matches likely will be played at…

If vs an interstate side: IKON

if vs a Victorian side: MARVEL

Extremely unlikely to be played at Casey since renovations are about to be carried out there. These renovations were clearly scheduled for now BEFORE season 7 was planned.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
