A year or two later North led them by 69 points and they still got up.

Swoop was the coach that day: Anzac day, I was driving a taxi, listening to the debacle on the Park Street Rank in North Carlton.

His good era finished in 91 and I reckon this result the following season contributed to both parties seeing the time was up and ready for change.

The 6-6-6 rule should make it harder to defend. Presumably, if the 6-6-6 rules has done what was intended, the "Chris Sullivan line" should be a higher number now than 3 years ago.

In the 90s  Chris Sullivan kicked a goal in the last quarter of ‘that game’ that gave us a 47 point lead, supposedly unassailable. Essendon piled on the goals and it turns out that 47 points in a final quarter is actually quite assailable… who’d a thought?

Now that I know it’s actually possible for a team to kick 3 goals in a minute, particularly in the last minute of a quarter, I’ll never be comfortable at a football game ever again.

We're the only team that's proven it's possible so far 😉
