Maybe some of his new found success can be attributed to his reverse Samson hair cut!

He needs a key forward coach to teach him leading patterns, body positioning etc

We are coaching him to stand still and wrestle his opponent so the midfielders can bomb it on his head, it is moronic.

Looks like this has been addressed.

@Dr. Gonzo

F knows what coaching he was receiving previously, looks like a new recruit.

🙏

Looks a lot stronger than previous years.

This will do heaps for his confidence.

I've seen him get really down on himself with his body language.

Hopefully this is his best year and filled him with loads of confidence.

A power fwd capable of kicking 6 goals is what's been missing from our club since Hogan and to a lesser extent...Tmac.

Petty definitely isn't a fwd so great to have him play where he belongs.

What's interesting about this game is that Fritta and Kozzie didn't impact the score too much.

Interesting that Tracca kicked 4g and one behind. Was never tgat accurate with us.

But I think moving several players on has done the world of good.

Although I would have kept May and tried him as a fwd. Couldn't hurt. He wasn't that bad.

No he doesn’t? He looks thinner. He’s lost 4kg and it’s clearly helped

Yea but the way he outmuscled opponents made him.look stronger.

He may have lost weight but I reckon he's still stronger.

May became a distraction the moment he was hit by Melksham. He was an awesome FB but his time at the club was well and truly up.

Great set shot.

Hopefully this is his breakout year.

Keep going Roo.

We placed a lot on his shoulders and felt somewhat let down.

But he has shown us what he can do with proper fwd entire

He never let me down, if you felt let down by a kid who from is second season was almost the sole key forward with almost no other key forwards to help him, then what does that say about you?

Same forward line coach. He's addressed what has changed for him (mainly between the ears).

Leaner but more muscle, which makes him stronger

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
