In case you were wondering. Since 2010.

MOST MATCHES MISSED THROUGH SUSPENSION SINCE 2010

62 Geelong
57 Richmond
56 Hawthorn
53 West Coast
52 St Kilda
51 Essendon
50 Melbourne
46 Fremantle
43 North Melbourne
40 Brisbane, Port Adelaide
36 Carlton
35 Gold Coast
29 Greater Western Sydney
28 Collingwood
26 Western Bulldogs
22 Adelaide
18 Sydney

A little bit surprising to see Geelong top that to be honest, but Hawkins usually gets at least 2-4 matches a season (sometimes I think a little unfairly).

Wow, looks like the Match Review Panel doesn't always get the video for interstate games.

Victoria's average (46.1) is higher than any interstate club except West Coast.

For related info I've only eyeballed it but the free kick counts seem mostly similar heirarchy.

With one very visible exception - West Coast are routinely in the top four for favourable free kick balance, and have never in the last fifteen years been out of the top 8 on that figure.  What a quirky coincidence that such a dirty team would have such a benevolent free kick ratio. So much coincidence...

Six of the 10 premierships won by the most suspended clubs.

Would have played more matches than most during that period.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
