I am glad that James and Aaron agreed to be moved across to the Rookie List for 2021, strengthens our draft position and gives these youngsters a good crack at coming off injury and representing us at Casey and hopefully at MFC later in 2021.

Well done James Jordon & Aaron Nietschke and MFC.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping Jordan goes back to being developed as an outside mid.

I don't get a chance to watch Casey games but there were a lot of supporters who said this kid would make it. The rookie list isn't somewhere I expected him to be after the posts I read on here

Didn't expect Jordan to be demoted. In all honesty I feel he's a chance to have a break out year next year if he were given a chance on the other wing.

Still he's on the list, so has every chance!

I have a good feeling about  James should be a chance to crack it in the big league as for Aaron the way he has come back from 2 knee reco's and for a third try at making it is a credit to him.  Lets hope that good  luck is with him this time.

We have Mitch.Brown, Chandler, Neitschke and Jordon on the rookie list. Do we now have one or two rookie picks?

1 as Bradtke (B) takes the 5/6 spot likely we carry it over for SSP next january

James Jordon is still only 19.  I had great hopes of him this year but like so many kids and fringe players it was virtually impossible to put their names forward.

Hopefully next year!!!

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
