extremely interrupted pre season, injured most of the year, you seem to be clueless.

Even those that have just emerged from the forest can learn from those apparently without clue.

1. State of Origin selection is not usually based on form from the season before last.  Indisputable.

2. Neville Jetta in 2019 averaged 2 free kicks against per game.  In his entire career, he is 0.7 per game.  2016 - 0.5 per game.  2017 - 0.5 per game.  2018 - 0.75ish per game.  Unquestionable.

2 per game since the grappling crackdown = red flag.

Neville Jetta peaked unbelievably in 2018 and flat-lined in 2019.  The enforcement of the grappling rule to increase scoring; and his age does not auger well for him.

Is he lucky to get a gig in the state of origin?  Absolutely.  Might as well pick Weed for his 2018 final performance.

He gave away free kicks in only 5 games last last year and didn't give away any in his most recent two.

Free kicks in only 5 out of your tiny sample of 7.

You are cherry picking and reaching for negativity that isn't there.

When you look back at Neville Jetta's career, "lucky" wouldn't even be a small part of the story.  He has earned everything that has come his way and deserves to play representative football, to go with his Australian guernsey.

I suggest you find another sport to follow; football clearly brings you no joy.

I'm laughing

Who else is a bit excited for tomorrow night? (Make sure your sound is on for this one.)

Have absolutely no interest in this game...

I'm afraid I couldn't give a fat rat's clacker about this and won't waste time watching it.

edit:  Snap rjay!

Lucky to get a gig.  Gives away maximum frees since the grappling crackdown.  Stellar 2018.  Poor 2019.

Who is emergency?  Bennell?

Love your work TGR. Like a car crash i can't look away. The posters on my ignore list would be amazed you are not on it with them.

That said your trolling standards are slipping a bit lately. You are losing your touch.

I mean take the post quoted above. Terrible trolling. I mean i get that everybody loves Jetts, so ipso facto bagging him is bound to get a rise from some.

But that is the best you can do?

And the who is emergency tag line? I mean c'mon you can do better than that. Lazy work. I expect so much more from you.

I'm sorry but if you don't lift your standard of trolling back to an acceptable level then regrettably i'm going to have to put you on ignore after all.

Lift your game. I know you can do it.

If you are right....I might be battle-weary.  I might have lost whatever tolerance I had for the club.  I might just be Demonology's version of Sam Newman talking about his 3 kids (he has one of each apparently), and climate change.  The banned button might be inevitable.

If you aint...just getting in first to predict that Jetta will fall off-the-cliff faster than the consensus think; and Bennell's 2019 was on-par with Nev's 2019 in my mind.  I will look closely at his free-kicks-against column in 2020...and his Casey tally.  If 2020 is a horrible anus for Nev, then I'll beat my chest and PM you.  Will you get my private message if I am on the banned list?

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
