I'm not saying it's hard to achieve, however, I think it's easy to surmise from the publicly available information, particularly the betsy article, that any building a new tunnel would have implications on the primary use of Caulfield Racecourse Reserve.

That Betsy article is someone's agenda.

Could not be more full of 💩 if it tried....and it did try hard 😉

It's a fabricated stance.

A problem for one may not be a problem for another, but a problem nevertheless in any negotiation.

Negotiations don’t generally get resolved by simply telling one side to ignore their concerns.

Unless you are a horticultural horse racing track expert, on the effect of tunnels being built under them and all of the possible effects to the structure and composition of the racing track above, maybe your suggestion that there is no problem in the minds of some experts in that specific area is the nonsense.

I say the above with the greatest respect to your technical expertise in the construction of tunnels.

I expect Caulfield to go ahead, but that doesn’t mean there are not genuine concerns of some, that need to be discussed and negotiated.

Over and out for the time being.

Back to celebrating our great win yesterday.

There are already tunnels under the racing track are there not?

There are and they were built at times that suited racing to lose meeting at Caulfield, like at a time for regrassing the track and with other city tracks available to take the lost race meetings.

Note Moonee Valley is out of action for a while and Sandown is like a country track.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
