12 mins gone and Cats with all the play as you’d expect. Wasting opportunities like Casey did in the first.

Is Dunkley playing?

Would happily have Lefau on the list before the likes of JKH, ANB, Spargo, Jwags and Billy for the 2020 season.

Plenty of speed and X factor that the others lack and pretty clean with ball in hand.  Knows where the goals are also.  A fair way off AFL level at this point but has weapons the others don't.

Prospective AFL star if managed well.

Agree.  Start the Lefau rookie campaign.  Get him into the AFL program.  Definitely has size and pace and goal awareness.  Not daunted by AFL listed players. But I’m just not aware how desperate and hard working he is off the track.

Half Time and it’s Casey 3.5.23 to Geelong VFL 1.7.13

Goals Keilty Kennedy Harris Lefau

Disposals Freeman Munro 11 (8 tackles) Baker 10 Hutchins Kennedy Harris 9 Hannan 8

A fair effort to hold the Cats to only one goal in this wind.

A Geelong player had a kick on the run from around twenty. Looked to be sailing through the middle and barely scored a point.

Although Casey didn't score they probably had more inside fifties than Geelong had in the first quarter.

Jkh in everything as you would expect in agame like this.

Casey players tapping and punching the ball which is good play in these conditions

Cats with all the play and starting to rule the air.  The breeze has definitely died down but still a goal favouring the Casey end. Beginning to look quite bad.

Completely outplayed this quarter. Our midfield not providing any run. If I see Spargo handball to another teammate with a Geelong player right next to him I’ll spew up.

The cats missing some easy goals against the breeze (1-2 goal breeze)

First time ive heard Oskar's name in the call.  Didn't realise he was out there!  Haven't heard Lefau's name mentioned since i praised him either ?

It’s a three point lead at the final break.

Casey Demons 4.7. to Geelong VFL 3.10

Goals Kennedy Harris Lefau Keilty T Smith

Disposals Freeman Munro 17 Baker 16 Hutchins 14 Kennedy Harris Spargo 11 Jordon 10

Hard to win from here with the Cats playing the better footy.

Are you on Casey radio? The callers might not know their names, they seem to be mainly calling the Cats players.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
