When I go the home page I see most recent posts in all forums, so isn't the real issue where your bookmark points? I'd be happy for AFLW to be in the main board, particularly at this time of the year when we are starved of actual games to talk about.

This.

If you bookmark the homepage and use that as your launch pad then you will get a slice of everything.

Ok I'll give the game day threads a go on the main board and see how we go.

The tribe has spoken.

Big ups to the big kohuna for listening.

A big thank you Andy... I'm sure you have already thought it but a podcast from one of the AFLW team would not go astray.

On a separate note I hope the club is busy getting some oral histories from the 1964 team.I hope they all make 100 but the youngest is probably 70. They  would make a wonderful archive to the MFC website.

Just arrived in Kolkata. Took the ferry from the Howrah train station across the mighty Hooghly river and then caught a cab past Eden Gardens. It has a certain resonance with the MCG.

Not sure I have seen too much advertising for the upcoming AFLX series but one never knows !!

The main forum is called Melbourne Demons isn’t it?

Is the women’s team not the Melbourne Demons?

Further to that, there are some stories which will cover both men's and women's football. For example, it was pointed out (admittedly ad nauseum) during the Collingwood game that Harriet Cordner was the seventh member of that family to play a senior game at Victoria Park. That storyline was worthy of coverage yet doesn't fit neatly solely on the AFLW or the AFL men's boards.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
