I was going to watch the footy at 1/2 time because Neale was on it to announce what would happen. I guess SEN and the Herald Sun have spoiled it. Couldn't they have waited for Neale to announce it himself?

But well done to all the coaches and it will be a great slide this year. In fact it's going to be a huge crowd. Just hope it's a nice day.

How does that work with raising the money? Because previous years didn't each celeb have to raise was it 5 or 10k then nominated someone else. So does the club kick in or the coach themselves?

Lets hope that there is only one coach to win with our ice cold balls !

Will Brendan Bolton need floaties so he doesn't sink? How much of a splash will Dew make.

Dewie may have to go last so they don’t have to refill it with ice!

Bombay Thompson would dominate the ice bucket challenge but not coaching anymore.

Go Dees and go motor neuron developments.

Great to see the coaches getting involved and supporting a great man.

Bolton will need stilts as well.

Just shows the respect Neale has.  The fact that all coaches and flying in for it and the 2 game day coaches are doing it. unbelievable.

He is a dead set legend of a bloke. Gonna be tough to watch him this year as it is so sad and the disease is progressing but I will look forward to his interview on 360.

expect 80K+ at the G

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
