Gerry. Did you pay the power bills??? We just got a disconnection notice!
Hmmm ... this could be an indication that we'll be without electricity. An uncertain future for the warmth and comfort of the Whateley premises. We'll keeping checking in and see how that pans out.

Gerry, the school called today and said Delilah steals lunch money from the other kids.
Hmmmmm ... the counterpoint to this is that the other kids are probably stealing Delilah's lunch money. One might press the notion that it all evens out .... in the long run.

Dad, Marius keeps hitting me!
Hmmmm ... scenes of disharmony in the Whateley household! Let's watch in the coming days and weeks to see what unfolds.

Gerry. You big hunk of a man. Get the champagne while I slip into something more comfortable.
Hmmmm ... interesting. Let's get some talkback from the kids about this proposal.

Gerry, I'm leaving you.
Hmmmm ... shocking news for the Whateley marriage. A bombshell revelation today.
I'm serious. I want a trial separation.
One's response can only be: We'll be right back after this break.

I really need to find out the thinking behind that. Seriously no idea what that is going to achieve.

Gerry.....i'll have the cover then

It was a thing in 1908...

I feel dumber for watching 360... slobbo and whately are the two most uninspiring commentators I’ve seen (I say this now given whately was good on abc grandstand).

Don’t get me wrong, the production quality is there, the ‘old boys club banter’ is cleverly ignored and having Jack and Lewis on is by design refreshing.

But there’s little analysis, zero insight and ultimately, only attempts at unearthing the next big grubby story.

Surely they get replaced next year?

Hate to sound trite but.. Actually no I don’t care, shut this thread down.

If I can win the double tix/airfares on his show tomorrow he’ll be anything but a moron! ?

I can only assume the 18m goal rectangle (it aint a square) is designed to stop teams pressing up so high and locking the ball in their fwd 50. ie less congestion. Beggars belief they could 'trial' this in 3 intra-club games and make a decision it was OK.

The again a Frosty barrel from 18m out could go to CHF.....

It’s just annoying how the have to completely change aesthetics of the game for one tactic, the long kick in. Would change the game for about 16 seconds. At very least some more trialing would be good.

It’s clearly a brilliant idea don’t you reckon?

No, not really. Not at all actually...

Would have been post of the year, but you forgot his penchant for exploring the ‘narrative’.

On a separate matter......How can you work with Robbo and not suffer fools?  How can you keep nodding at Robbo, whilst he is spewing emotional brainless pub-talk?

Like a bible-basher, cuts talkback radio simpletons off if they use a word such as ‘[censored]’; yet it is a word that Robbo would use without flinching.

I applaud his intellect and the fact that he is raising the bar.  But for god’s sake, find a suit that fits, don’t continually smile like a 6 year old receiving a chrissy present, and give Robbo more RDOs on 360.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
