When Oliver was drafted an Essendon mate said what were we thinking drafting him ahead of Parish and found it funny. Today I messaged him and said, "would you still take Parish over Oliver?" - his response, "Oliver is Too slow and poor disposal"

How do I reply to that! Best answer will be used!

Just delete him and block the number, you don't need dumb people dragging you down.

So, you’re one of Bomber’s customers?

Oliver is not slow he is quick you just don't see it because his a 1 touch player, he does not kick much but he is a great kick, parish is a average footballer to skinny, and I have said from the start parish  is no good and Will never win a BF.

What Gorg said.

"Oliver has averaged 28.1 disposals per game. He ranks elite in terms of average handballs (19.1), contested possessions (16.6), contested possession rate (58.9), ground ball gets (11.7), and score launches (2.1)...The thing is — he’s not a bad kick either. Oliver’s kicking efficiency of 65.1 per cent has him ranked above average, while he also ranks above average for effective disposals, with 20.3 per game. He also averages 4.1 inside-50s, 0.4 contested marks and 0.7 goal assists per game — all ranked above average".

It is easy to forget how good he is in so many (every?) aspect of the game.  Deservedly, in the conversation as one of the very best young players.  Now regularly being compared to Cripps and he is right up there with other elite young players.

We have a truly elite player (Ie one who consistently delivers at an elite level over an extended period of time) in our midst?

Oops!  Just noticed a new thread has been opened on this.  Mods can transfer if they wish...

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
