Hadn't thought about WOS for years before this year. As a youngster growing up in country Victoria I remember thinking:

What's with the wood chop and the stationary bike race every week? Just get on with the footy because it's the only sport people care about!

I'm a bit too young too remember it. But I'm always envious of those that do. One great aspect of footy is it rewards you the longer you stay committed.
