6: Salem (I dont know what it looked like on TV but wow he had an outstanding game. Imagine him and Kelly on a wing together).

5: Oliver (Just dominated the first quarter and came back strongly in the last - also put a cheeky $2 on him for the brownlow)

4: Jeffy (that tackle!)

3: Jetta (so underrated. I wonder if he will at least be in the AA conversation)

2: T-Mac (If Hurley, Rance, and McGoven dont take the possie, he will)

1: Jones (when we needed our captain he came running.

Homsar - live Weid looks really good. Right areas, competes well. Will be something.

I was there live, and I agree he can look good. I was probably a bit harsh in my assessment. When he gets space to run and jump he is a good mark. Lovely kick too. Old style full forward. With a few years to build a tank and muscle, will be a serious player.

Perfect Jane02 in My HO.

I am glad you left JW out.

The amount of dropped chest marks apart from the first that Garlett gave him, was appalling.

I find it really interesting because of Hogan, Weiderman isnt really talked about by the outside world. While we might all think he is going to develop well, the outsiders talk about Danniher, McCartin, Schace, McKay for Carlton, etc but no love for Weid. If he tracks the way he is going (no improvement, just stagnate) for the rest of the year, he ends up with 33 goals and must be seriously competing for the Rising Star with that amount of goals. Might have the sort of development we wish Watts had - off the bright lights of Broadway and can develop in his own time with great players around him.

Have a look at the last quarter, JW was excellent: certainly worth a vote IMHO.

2 - he dropped 2. ( but there were 8 other marks he did take). I have no problem with him being left out of the votes purely based on there being better players on the day but he was very influential in the last quarter when the game had to be won.

I thought Hogan provided a contest all day but he also dropped a lot of marks that he got clean hands to.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
