i think it was the game against gc17 where after a couple of weeks at vfl level where he played as a defensive mid...and he's not looked back since

I'd seen him try to break free in his games with Essendon. Several times there were 'Brad Green-like' bursts with kicking skills to match yet it was an alien play for the Essendon team and players. With all that was happening at Essendon, I hoped that our recruiters could notice him - they obviously did. He is going to get much better, you realise. With his head up, he is going to be a gun asset. When he brings into the game his hidden big marking skills, we will sit back in awe.

I recall a time when Alex Rance was THE Richmond whipping boy. Instances such as these should teach us something as football-followers.

I remember this too.

And also thinking Melksham would be delisted without a game for MFC following Hunt's breakout season.

Fantastic mark for his height too.

Just needs to clean up his set shots, they are a bit hit and miss. More time at the Tom McDonald Academy of Very Good Goal Kicking, and less time with Trac. 

I was his biggest critic. Saw him a lot at Essendon and didn’t like what I saw there. Liked him even less when he started with us. 

But like Tomald, the move forward is a master stroke. You can go for attacking left foot kicks in the forward 50, if it comes off, brilliant, if it doesn’t, oh well. Up the ground there are more consequences if it doesn’t come off  

He’s excellent 1 on 1 forward of the ball. His goal kicking misses don’t worry me, it’s rife through the whole comp, he’s been a bit yippy but is generally a good kick at a goal.

I was wrong, been a great addition to the team.

My prejudice against Melksham began when you posted that god awful pic of him in his boasters. You just cant unsee that.
