911 occurred before they invaded Iraq and don't tell me that there were no Islamic terrorists prior to that.

Anyway the common reason why the world is no longer a safe place is because of ........?

Actually, it was Bush Snr and the Gulf War that really started things rolling...some described Dubya's invading Iraq as dealing with unfinished business.

No, all I ever do is stand up for people who happen to be of the Islamic faith, who have done nothing wrong. I'm not standing up for fundamentalist Islam. You just read what you want to read.

In the meantime, I watch Christianity continue to do nefarious damage to our society. Islam has done very little to damage to Australian society. Islam is not in power. Christianity is. And we find ourselves in a harsh, cruel political environment, where an underclass has formed due to the Liberals' policies favouring only the very rich. As happened under Thatcher and Reagan.

If our society is so 'Christian', where is our sense of right and wrong when it comes to Manus Island? It's this pathetic double-standard that only a very few fundamentalists believe, where the belief is our society is framed by Christianity. Where does the holy piece of fiction say people should be locked up for trying to enter a country? Outdated piece of rubbish and hiding behind it is even worse.

And then no matter how much I claim to decry all religion, all I get is "yeah, but, derps, Islam is worser!" Well done.

Um, the Gulf War... you realise the Americans invaded Iraq before 9/11, right? No, probably not.

Um, they didn't invade Iraq in the Gulf War, are you trying to rewrite history?

Oh, I see you are now trying to intertwine Christianity and the Liberal Party, nice try.

Can I borrow your tin foil hat, I'm being invaded by Martians.

What are you talking about? The Gulf War was fought in Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Before that, the Americans financed the Mujahideen in Afghanistan that later became elements of the Taliban.

And of course hardline Christianity is linked with hard right politics. Nearly always. Are you seriously trying to debate that?

i just checked. there are no christians under my bed, but i will be vigilant from now on. thanks for the heads up, guys

They drove the Iraqis back in to Iraq and withdrew, they didn't invade Iraq.

Mujahadeen,Isis,Isil,Daesh,AlQueda,AlShabab.

The common thread is that they are the enemy  and they are also Muslim.

While the west trips over itself to give them the correct title they form another terrorist organisation or say it's just a lone wolf attack.

Why do you believe Christianity is linked with hard right politics?

Catholics once dominated the ALP.

You get all your white guilt mixed up with your politics and your perception of the underdog.

In a world of  7 billion people with 1.8 billion Muslims-Christians are the underdog.Jews too.

You need to read history to understand the 1400 year old struggle Europe and Christianity has had to keep the Muslim hordes from trying to kill everyone that isn't Muslim.

Those Germans were petrified of the US soldiers storming in to Berlin.

They took refuge with the kindly Russians.Begged to be put into the gulags .

A brilliant and efficient operation conducted by Colin Powell.

Saddam invaded Kuwait.

Clinton gave the OK to destroy their tanks almost overnight.Which Desert Storm did.

Then announced the war the next day.

No media bleating,whining or doubt.

Clean, pure ,efficient, cold death delivered with minimum fuss and maximum firepower.

No deliberation, debate or equivocation.

Silly Saddam didn't realise the yanks could still see them at night time.

No doubt he was an exception. There is slim evidence that exceptions exist. I'll consider it. In the meantime, I suggest you get a bed that has no floor space beneath it. It's much safer. Also, buy a gun and have it at the ready in case someone TRIES to sneak under the non-existent space beneath the bed. Some Americans and Christians are so friggin thick they'd still try. Just shoot the idiots.

Now remember, you'll need the gun because all americans and christians carry guns, all of them. They claim it's to protect themselves from deranged lunatics. Between you and me, DC, we know who the real lunatics are, don't we?

Perhaps people here can create another thread or take your conversations to the other threads that are not pertaining to Trump.

All things not appropriate to Trump are being yapped about here.

Hey, the Trump press conference on Thursday was a huge story - anyone got anything to add? Good or bad - I'm not fussed.

They were petrified because they were twelve years old, had no guns and ammunition and most of them were still virgins.

No but my wife's cousin works for Asio so watch out.

Thank God they weren't invaded by muslims, the 12 year olds wouldn't be virgins for long.

The Apostates would have been beheaded and Germany would now be a no go zone.

Actually, the Germans regarded yankee soldiers the same way the so-called allies regarded italian soldiers.

My father who was conscripted in February 1941 when he turned 17 said to me once that Germans always fancied their chances when they fought yankees. That was when the playing field was relatively even, in other words when they still had ammunition and petrol.

You bin watching too many hollywood movies, playing too many war games, Dante. Whatever happened to your interest in literature, Aleghieri? You had a find mind once.

Weren't all Germans conscripted, none of them were volunteers, were they, just doing what they were told and following orders.

Good to see you are still able to stand by the Reich, if Adolph had only paid more attention to petrol and less to gas.

I must pay that outstanding parking fine.

So, what did you make of the Presser diets?

I made some comments a ways back (post #220) but I'm reasonably convinced that the presser won't harm him and might end up helping him ... him taking on so many media types has an appeal all on it's own.

I'm playing devil's advocate of course because I'd rather see the end of him (anyone of Pence, McCain, Cruz or even McConnell would do me)

In an ideal world a bomb planted by - ah well, let's face it, it will inevitably be a false flag operation, in other words some Muslim stooge will take the blame - a white supremacist who is convinced Agent Orange won't kill enough Mexicans, Muslims and Blacks and the lot of them die long agonizing deaths.

Hopefully the Clintons get taken out simultaneously.

If you think what I've written is cruel, just remember that this is the American way.

that was true and not surprising. the yanks were raw and inexperienced. in an evenly matched fight you wouldn't put your money on them

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
