For the overseas racing ...

On your TAB account you can tune into Sky Racing 1,  Sky Racing 2 or Sky Thoroughbred Central.  Just login for access

Works fine for me on a laptop or on the phone. Racing channel (68 or 78) often covers a bit of the European racing as well.

Sky Thoroughbred Central will possibly be taking the ITV UK feed for the Curragh next Saturday.

Thanks Macca.....i dont have a TAB account, only Laddies who dont offer. I think you can somehow get the app or something....but i prefer Ch 68/78 if its on at all i guess, on my big screen tele, otherwise...

If I get a chance I'll post up a few links for the Irish Derby next Saturday (Curragh) ... at first glance it looks a good betting race with no clearcut favourite.

One for the exotics.

The Irish Derby is on Saturday night

Here are the listings, form & odds from RacingPost.com ... Irish Derby (Curragh)

The early favourite 'Russian Emporer' has been withdrawn but will probably run in the Epsom Derby on the 4th of July (1 week from this Saturday)

And if you're looking for a double at the meeting the race straight after the Derby is the G3 Vintage Crop Stakes where 'Latrobe' is listed as the topweight (if it runs)

There is a Night of Thunder that finished 2nd at its only start, going around in race 5 at Curragh tonight (Fri). No 16 Thunder Kiss.

Managed to back the winner of the Irish Derby so not giving out my tip worked!

That's a bit of a conundrum looking ahead ... anyway,  here's the replay

This weekend we head to Epsom for the Derby & the Oaks

Epsom Derby - Full Field, Form & Odds

Epsom Oaks - Full Field, Form & Odds

Last start winner 'Frankly Darling' with Frankie Dettori on board starts 2nd favourite in the Oaks whilst the impressive 'Russian Camelot' trained by Aidan O'Brien is on the 3rd line of betting in the Derby.  But there are certainly some value runners in both events.

Was listening to RSN this morning and they were talking about a greyhound race that’s gone viral, in particular a dog by the name of ‘Good Juan’. So I looked it up and found this extraordinary. ‘ Winx-Like Numbers’

I’m on Macca. Actually like the idea throwing up some roughies on here every now and then until spring.

Got a tip, they are confident of a very good show, thought I’d pass it along, take it as you will ?

Caulfield Race 7, 6 I am Someone

Roughie for the weekend

Sha Tin Sunday

Race 8 No.9 Pakistan Friend (33-1)

Ace tipster Tom Biddington has marked it on top after 2 strong trials from the horse.  Certainly has a chequered history but if it turns up it's a show.

Not today Gorgo, but thanks....always feel free to pass on any tips and post them, thats what the thread all about, somewhere for us to have a shout out.

How about the Dees Flag into Russian Camelot for the Melbourne Cup. 260/1 at the moment....worth a little flutter aye Macca. If we beat Brisbane, the odds will change, thats for sure.

This may be the only year we dont get the internationals, so the race (may) run a little closer to form.

That tip was for a few weeks ago,  not yesterday’s  races.

But I’ll pass any along I get, sometimes get some good stuff, others very outside.

Haha, thats funny cause i just looked at the form when i saw the tip and it was running yesterday in race 7 No 6. :)

It only seems a short time ago when I was talking up the chances of 'Sunlight' in the Magic Millions 2yo classic (it won) ... but today the mare was sold for $4.2Million at the Magic Millions sales for broodmares.

That went quick!

So how many foals can a mare produce?  6 or 7?  8? ... that's at least $500k per foal without the stud fees.  Big money.

The connections have done extra well after paying $300k for the horse (with winnings of over $6.5Million)

Sunlight will always remain a favourite of mine.

Probably not too early to resume transmission here. A watch for tomorrow . Valley R3 No1. ABN. The fellas at work are pleased with her work leading into her return. Decent each way odds. A lot of speed on her inside is a bit of a worry but hopefully she shows the class we saw early in her first prep.

I couldn't really find a best bet DZ but I've got Brimarvi Vehero in a multi or 2 ... Morphettville Race 3 No.4 $2.60

James Jordan has it as one of his best bets as well.

Good luck to anyone having a punt tomorrow.  The racing has been a godsend during this time.  A terrific distraction.

Got two today, both at the valley
race 6, 10 wilmot pass, it’s fav, but they are supremely confident so maybe worth in a multi or quaddie

other is race 9, number 9 Proper rogue.

good luck all.

Happy Birthday to all the horses in the land......

Stay safe gang.

Showmanship showed a bit ... dominant in the end for sure.  Pikey in the last in Melbourne insread of Ascot!

Viridine just too good whilst Savatiano stood out for those who weren't looking (yours truly included)

An even day with a few winners ... North Pacific looks one to follow out of the races up in Sydney.

I was left underwhelmed by Parlophone in the end. Showed a bit in the lead up but faded away at the distance.

Horrific crash in the MotoGP ... no one seriously hurt thank goodness but Valentino Rossi can count his lucky stars.

The vision can be viewed online with a quick search.

Jack Miller the Aussie leads the race with 18 laps to go and hopefully he can hold on and win.

The 1st Group 1 of the new season is coming up at Randwick on Saturday but there are 6 Stakes races in all across Melbourne & Sydney ... all of them good betting races.

  • GAMEDAY: Fremantle

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

A month is a long time in AFL football. The proof of this is in the current state of the two teams contesting against each other early this Saturday afternoon at the MCG. It’s hard to fathom that when Melbourne and Fremantle kicked off the 2025 season, the former looked like being a major player in this year’s competition after it came close to beating one of the favourites in the GWS Giants while the latter was smashed by Geelong to the tune of 78 points and looked like rubbish. Fast forward to today and the Demons are low on confidence and appear panic stricken as their winless streak heads towards an even half dozen and pressure mounts on the coach and team leadership.  Meanwhile, the Dockers have recovered their composure and now sit in the top eight. They are definitely on the up and up and look most likely winners this weekend against a team which they have recently dominated and which struggles to find enough passages to the goals to trouble the scorers. And with that, Fremantle will head to the MCG, feeling very good about itself after demolishing Richmond in the Barossa Valley with Josh Treacy coming off a six goal haul and facing up to a Melbourne defence already without Jake Lever and a shaky Steven May needing to pass a fitness test just to make it onto the field of play.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
