Dangerfield is difficult to stop on most days.

Frosty almost did - maybe next time...

Why is it that our players seem to get so tired?

Does Cripps get tired?

Does Isaac Heeny or Callum Mills get tired?

Bontempelli?

I missed the presser billy, what was said and what was your take on it? Can't watch the footage at work unfortunately.

My take is that a group of players (possibly younger ones) thought that they were a finals side, and needed Saturday's result to show them they aren't.

Also suggested that the young guys will individually decide how they perform in 2017 by how much they work in the 8 week break.  If they do the right thing to their fitness/body. they will hit day 1 of preseason ready to take the next step.  If not, they then have to do extra sessions to get to that point, which puts them at a disadvantage.

Saturday was all about development and education.  I wish I had known that prior to going.

Apologies for derailing the thread.

If that tackle had have been any harder it would've put his head into the turf and knocked him out.

Maybe next time.

There is a great photo on Jack Viney's Instagram post of him and his mates at the races have a Crownie. Clearly he is still great mates with Ollie as they flank a group of very happy well dressed young men. Maybe one day Ollie will eventually get to the Dee's??

Can't wait for this guy to be captain. Jack was a guest of my sisters for Stakes day along with Jesse, Christian and a couple of the Geelong boys. She speaks highly of Jack. He arrived 15 minuets early for any interviews, got involved with everything that was asked of him and then sent her a thank you message the following day. Just a straight up professional.

Although his contested work is his bread and butter, from watching this highlights package, I've just been reminded about the knack young Jack has around goals. It's an underrated quality of his that has certainly improved over the years.

I was watching some Jack just the other day and was also reminded of a point I've often pondered. Talk of possessions/touches usually refers to disposals, but I'd be interested to read the stats for how often Jack actually has the ball in his hands in each game. Time and time again he's in there at the bottom the pack and is highly skilled at locking it in. His reading of the play and ability to gather the ball is sublime. If he further develops his elusiveness breaking from the stoppages his numbers and impact will become genuinely elite.

A coment on our list management that not a single player who celebrated the goal in that first passage of play is still at the club that i can see.
