Due to popular demand.

Who has seen the entire series? I've seen up to end of Season 4. Yes I'm behind, so be very careful.

Once I started watching the first episode, then the second I couldn't stop watching.

I'm about to start season 5 soon. Looking forward to it.

I have watched most of the first 4 seasons. My wife loves the series, I quite like it. My main gripe is that the concept for the series so easily could have been based on real history rather than fantasy. If anyone has ever read any medieval history from about 900 AD to 1200 AD involving the Normans, the Byzantine Empire and their Varangian Guard, the Arabs and assorted other barbarian tribes from Central Asia and you have a story of conflict that is equal to or better than anything you might see on GoT. But that is just me I prefer some historical perspective rather than pure fantasy.

you can always watch vikings then earl, even if it does stray from the truth often

I've not seen a single episode.

Best show I've ever seen I think the ending will revolve around the dragon queen

Great stuff and lots of A Grade b00bies! Emilia Clarke gets a special mention, she was also great as Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys (the new one) if you didn't know.

I am all the way up to date, also up to date with Vikings too, not a bad series but not where near GoT.  Has been missing surprise twists and turns i think and the Season 5 was very slow, still good just a bit slow.

***SPOLIER ALERT***

I defiantly got hooked after Joffrey decided that Eddard didn't need his head anymore.  But the biggest surprise was the red wedding!

you know nuthing H_T.

I judge people who do not watch this !

It is a fantastic show - read all the books and besides watching copious quantities of sport, it is the only non sport  program that i must religiously watch.

For the opening night of every season we have a game of thrones feast ( yes ..there is a GOT cookbook) and this season i made roast swan  - which was actually turkey but lets keep that our secret.....

A huge GOT & Tyrion fan here. Got all 5 seasons on dvd. The series has slowed down somewhat, which isn't surprising given how fast it jumped out of the gates!

Have gained access to watching season 6, and watched all 6 episodes back-to-back.

The Red Woman.........HURLY BURLY!!!!! Rejecting her?!?!?! You know nothing John Snow

It's science fiction but anythings possible seems the first generation are the first characters , how did the first sherif come back into it I couldn't figure that out because he go run over and killed. Then he's kidnapping a new doctor though I had a few beers we'll watching.

Past sense remember?  He was put in stasis like the rest of them then awoken to save that rebel annoying girl (Kate) that died anyway!

I sort of like how they gave the secret away in the first season but it takes away from the twist, I mean really where can it go from here that's original?

Walking Dead is another one that's got me, i'm reading the comics at the moment too.  Fear the walking dead SUCKS.

Breaking bad was good and Better call Saul is great also.

Told you, watch too much TV, and do not get me started of video games, that's an even worse addiction!

much better episode last night...

We have a cat at home who is a piece of work - will bite and swipe for no reason whatsover  - a mean little mofo - we have renamed him Ramsey Bolton

I've been a fan of most of what HBO have put out since Oz and of course the Sopranos.

But Game of Thrones takes the cake. Best show ever assuming it doesn't go downhill the [censored] up the ending.

I love the villains in most things, but Joffrey is my all time favourite character, such a little [censored]. Jack Gleeson does a brilliant job.

Love me some Ramsay Snow too.

*****SPOILER ALERT****

The [censored] Hound is back! My other favourite character.

The last 2 eps were crackers.

  • 2 weeks later...

It was great having a public holiday last Monday so that I could watch the show early.

I hope the whole High Sparrow storyline wraps up soon, I don't really enjoy that storyline. Ramsay has been too quiet lately, assuming something epic will happen to him soon. Great replacement Joffrey.

How good are the hound and Bron ?

It's definitely good to see more of them again. With the Hound I had been saying I won't believe any characters are dead in this show unless I see them die on camera (not including those who get resurrected). That also being said, there's a few who are less likely to return, in that it would take away suspense if some of the ones who are implied to be killed off screen all actually survived every single time. Eg. Stannis.

here is my conspiracy theory - have you ever seen Stannis Baratheon and Daniel Cross in the same room ? Have you ? have you ? hmmmm.....

Image result for daniel crossImage result for stannis baratheon

Bronn is a pissa, the dialogue between him and Tyrion and now him and Jamie are also quite entertaining.

Great to have the Hound back, and for Arya to escape the many faced god.  Wonder if they will team up again!?

Hating Sansa at the moment, acting like she is some big shot, making Jon look bad!

And what about the Greyjoys taking the Iron fleet to Essos to help the Mother of Dragons!?

Sansa reminds me of the current crop of pollies we have in this country  - full of self importance but when you dissect what they actually say  - you think to yourself  "WTF???"

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Having convincingly defeated last year’s premier and decisively outplayed the runner-up with 8.2 in the final quarter, nothing epitomized the Melbourne Football Club’s performance more than its 1.12 final half, particularly the eight consecutive behinds in the last term, against a struggling St Kilda team in the midst of a dismal losing streak. Just when stability and consistency were anticipated within the Demon ranks, they delivered a quintessential performance marked by instability and ill-conceived decisions, with the most striking aspect being their inaccuracy in kicking for goal, which suggested a lack of preparation (instead of sleeping in their hotel in Alice, were they having a night on the turps) rather than a well-rested team. Let’s face it - this kicking disease that makes them look like raw amateurs is becoming a millstone around the team’s neck.

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
