Some people don't understand compensation

Featured Replies

Why haven't the Hawks put in the paperwork for Frawley? It was announced yesterday he was going to the hawks, why hasn't it gone thru already?

who says they haven't?

today was the first possible day

Hasn't been announced today out of respect for Robbie, apparently.

What a joke.

but that doesn't stop them lodging papers

Denham called his contract as 2.5 mill. over 4 years on the radio this morning.

If true I would expect tier 1 comp.

"In three successive years they have lost Jared Rivers, Colin Sylvia and now Frawley, all to clubs in the premiership window."

Interesting quote from the Hun. Do we really care now about Colin Sylvia?

I think every MFC supporter would take Vince over Sylvia any day of the week. The AFL were probably generous with our compensation then, and hopefully they are again with Frawley.

Are people seriously that daft, that they complain about something they don't even know about? Seriously people can say it's a "joke" and a "disgrace" it doesn't matter if it was bloody James Strauss leaving for that sort of money and contract lengths, it all relies on contract length, money, age and where the club the player is leaving finish! FFS people should do their research before having a sook!

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
