Peter Jackson - On The Couch Monday 29th July, 2013

Walsh and Action Jackson will chat soon.

I hope Schwab & Conolly are watching this.

These are damming statements of the highest order.

Alan Richardson name thrown up as coach by Sheehan. PJ says we cannot have a untried coach. Thank god.

"Melbourne over the last 10 years didn't know that a great football club needs a great football team"

Roos "still on the coaching list".

Just because you put something on a list does not mean you will get it - trust me I speak from experience.

I would have asked Santa 10 times for a rocket ship and I am still waiting.

I'm just giving updates on what is being said.

Connolly won't come back judging by PJ's comments.

Thanks for the updates.

Glad we haven't given up on Roos yet. To be the best you have to push for the best.

He was pretty harsh and acknowledged it.

Whilst refreshing, Neeld was pretty harsh too I just hope he doesn't put too many people off side by rubbishing everything the club has done.

That was unbelievable tv. Jackson seems like he is aware of past mistakes and doesn't have any unjustified ego.

His comments on Connolly were poignant, and I believe moved beyond CC and included Schwab and Stynes as people who went back to the past.

Works for the board. Reports to them, keeps AFL informed.

I hope Schwab & Conolly are watching this.

PJ is a super impressive person. IF anyone can set us up for progress it will be him.

He knows success!!

Probably the best home truths i have heard in a long time!

Lays out the truth in all Its ugliness, and you know everything he says is spot on.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
