Neeld Sacked with Craig as Interim Coach

Featured Replies

It's good for both parties that this is done now. No point continuing with the current situation as the game against the filth was a disgrace. It allows the club to focus on the rebuild which means getting a proven coach and Neeld to figure out where he is going in the future.

Don't be surprised to see him with Mick at the Blues next year.

I'll give him kudos for being stoic and reasoned.

Hes not a bad bloke, just not the coach for us.

And we move on.. Good luck Neeld

like Bailey, Danners id happily buy you a beer

PJ is also, clearly, a serious heavy hitter and won't take sh*t from any pissant journo - great to see how a professional CEO operates

Finally we will have a professional club. Listening to Peter Jackson is a breath of fresh air.

Mark will be paid out in full.

Its quite enjoyable watching this in a way

Bodes well

edit :must give context.

Never good to see a bloke sacked, but the club is presenting far far better in this

The fact that he says even now that he wouldn't do anything differently, says to me he had no hope of turning his fortunes around.

It's never nice seeing someone lose their job, but I have never been more confidence of the club making the right decision than I am now.

I could handle losing my job if I had been so incompetent and was being paid a very large sum to walk out the back door... Plenty of other job prospects out there , even for Mark Neeld.. He doesn't seem too perturbed at the press conference.. Quite happy , actually.. He is quite happy obviously to see his bank account swell without any personal Contribution.. ...... Like winning a big share of Tattslotto (First Division)

PJ "We are a (huge) impediment to the industry" FMD... how did we get here;

Incompetent Boards and Shyte Hose recruiting.. etc., etc.,

Neeld speaking well - the whole thing is much more professional than the Bailey disaster. God I wish we'd had PJ a few years ago...

FMD I would speak well with the payout he's getting.... For doing Fark all !!! Let's get on with commencing the repair job...

As an Bomber supporter he was the one who made the tough decision on Sheeds after 27 yrs. You should feel confident with him in charge and l think all the FD will be gone as well.

The fact that he says even now that he wouldn't do anything differently, says to me he had no hope of turning his fortunes around.

He was simply avoiding more headlines with his answer, of course he would do things differently.

Lovely

PJ owned those knobs !! :)

blubbering incompetent asks "blah blah Roos , Williams blah blah"

PJ - fixes him " You don't really expect me to answer that, do you? "

excellent

I agree PJ speaking very well at this presser. Neeld to his credit is also speaking well.

He was simply avoiding more headlines with his answer, of course he would do things differently.

tend to agree...who wouldnt learn ..but hey

Barrett praising MFC for making a decision on Fri and not leaking over the weekend.

God, we were sh*t

This is ALL about crap governance over many years

as much as l liked Mark Neeld as a person and he proved he is a class act in the press conference he probably had to go. I think that we will keep players that would have gone if we continued in the status quo, Neeld, McLardy and Schwab had to go but there will be at least 4-5 more.

I bet if we lose this week there will be a new thread "Time to Go Craig"!!!!!!

What do you mean if we lose?

blubbering incompetent asks "blah blah Roos , Williams blah blah"

PJ - fixes him " You don't really expect me to answer that, do you? "

excellent

Agree, l think Peter Jackson is just what we need, tells it straight and doesn't suffer fools.

Now Barrett is sniping about Craig being appointed - even Darcy tells him to shut up and stop being a dill.

Who else is going to do it?

what journo asked: "what's the reaction of the indigenous group?" --- sewer rat

Any of the current crop of gutter journalists would be capable of asking that question.. !! It's the general standard !!! Farkwit McGuire will probably put his 2 bobs worth in soon... He couldn't possibly keep his face out of the limelight .. It has been over a week since he reared his ugly head on a subject that really has nothing to do with him... Where are you "Eddy Everywhere" ?? B)

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
