10.00am gosch's paddock. Just across the road from Richmond Station.

I'll try to get there. I need a bit of Saty's positive outlook.

Not positive old chap, just supporting the Club, and not beating myself up over something I have no control over whatsoever

Can we please not make this about personalities but more about supporting the players and Club

I try to, but as you can see today, the Orcs are a bit restless, promise to be on best behaviour on Sunday, will only fawn over players who come within 20 metres, good on you for driving this by the way......hopefully the players can see that there are supporters out there who still support them

Sunday's great for me - beats having brunch with my mother in law.

Have spoken to the Club today and they have confirmed that the training on Sunday at 10.00am is an open session. The Club is sending out a tweet this afternoon to let everyone know.

I hope we get a really good crowd down there. There are many people trying to make this happen.

I will be there with the mentality that I am there to support the players as they are the ones who need our immediate support. I am not there to berate any official that may be there as there is enough of that in the media. We the supporters and the players do not need any more negativity that surrounds the Club at the moment. That is not putting my head in the sand because all that I know that is wrong with the Club and needs to be and will be fixed remains as such. Despite that the players and the Club will always have my support.

How about a coffee at 'The Bench' cafe AAMI park afterwards?

Might be a little difficult as will have the demon dog with me. Have had a chat to a family member who has come up with a great idea. Will discuss on Sunday.

Great response from the volunteers. Also "sussing" out getting the big heads from the cheer squad for the kids to hold up. Any more news from SP.

Haven't yet seen the tweet from the Club re tomorrows open session so we need to gather any Demon supporters out there (there must still be a few) and get down and support the players at Gosch's Paddock.

Leave any antipathy towards the Board etc at home and come and watch the boys train. Our presence does encourage the players.

Went to the last rally of supporters at the paddock. Nothing has changed, team is shyte to watch. I love the MFC but its the club I love, not the current pretenders wearing the jumper.

Great. Thanks for your thoughts.

I'll be there on what my daughters uncharitably describe as my postman pat bike. There for the players who pull on the red and blue. No support for many others at the moment - PJ excepted.

Demonlanders,

The Demon Army, the official cheersquad of the Melbourne Football Club, would be happy to rally our numbers & bring our gear again for tomorrow's training session but we have our match-day run through to construct at the Bentleigh Club from 9.30am. It's unfortunate there's a clash with times. We only have access to the room until 2pm so we really can't afford to take time out for training.

We were thrilled to be part of the training session before Rd.3 & understand completely how uplifting the gesture was for our players, coaches & staff and would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Feel free to ask for our assistance anytime in the future. It's perhaps easiest to contact us via email [email protected] or by DM on our Facebook page The Demon Army or twitter @deearmy

Make some noise for us in our absence tomorrow and we'll see you all at Fed Sq on Monday for another show of arms.

Looking forward to getting down to an open training session, normally on a Friday when I am working.

Go Dees!

Just back from training. Players looked ok. Spoke to Jack Grimes who should be right after next 3 games.

Met Longsuffering, Saty, Rusty and Nineteen. Spoke to Jack Grimes dad Steve and there is another brother coming through. He said Dylan would love to play with Jack at the Dees if the Tigers ever let him go. He is however happy at the Tigers.

Spoke to Josh Mahoney who impressed the need for Dees fans to come to the game. Hopefully we get a decent crowd. At least it will be a nice day.

Hi Redleg, I dropped in as well. About 60 supporters there. Beautiful Melbourne morning. Light session. 23 out there, including emerg Bail, plus Grimes. The group seemed to be in positive spirit, with Jack Watts the most upbeat. I can't imagine a team mate not liking Jack (unless his chirpiness grates). Watched Toumpas in the end to end stuff... he is not slow, has an unusual running style, but not slow (not blistering either). There was a lot of goal-kicking fun in the last 10 minutes... Davey excelled, big Fitz snagged a couple, Howe was pretty good from well out. A couple of backmen practiced long kick ins... Pederson regularly landed just outside 50 arc, but Dunn must be the longest kick in the team. He was spiralling them beyond 50 with ease. Noticed Barry and Clisby and the NZ boy doing some drills, running goals with an assistant early on. The Coach had some time for some kicking fun with Royal and another assistant. Neeld remained upbeat and friendly throughout. McKenzie was taken aside by an assistant for some short kicking drills late in the session. McDonald looks to be back to his running best. Surprising how trimmed down Jamar looks. I can see no reason why he can't have more impact with marks and possies around the ground. Another who has definitely fined down since last year is Howe. Looks like the transition to high forward, midfielder is full on. Sylvia wore number 47 for the session. Kent is a dead-eye on running goals inside 50. See you at the Walk to the G.

So he is back for the Saints game?

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
