Sure bet? 400K on Bombers

Reported this afternoon on SEN that someone (could be Footybet BS) has had a lazy 400k on the Bombers @ $1.10.

10% return on your money in 3 hours?

I'd rather take 8% in one minute on Black Caviar - now that's a sure thing.

C'mon Dees, get up! I have no sympathy for the person who has had this alleged bet.

Thats gutsy, there no Black Caviar.

He must be fairly confident they're not going to play like muppets again. Last year was an amazing display of football suicide.

Three Agencies have them into $1.07 and one is at $1.08 which might indicate some laying-off.

Stupid odds in a two-horse race of this nature notwithstanding exposed form.

Plenty of $1.10 available for emulators.

We'll have a few Bookies rooting for the Dees.

One horse too is resuming after a spell and the other has been the subject of a Steward's Enquiry to further complicate the analysis.

Be very wary of these reports of alleged mega bets . The corporate bookies monitor their clients' betting patterns closely and are quick to restrict the size of your bets or even decline your business permanently if you are a consistent winner. Newspaper reports of Grand Final or Melbourne Cup favourites being "taken on" by these firms to lose millions of dollars is just free publicity from gullible journalists .

what odds dees ? , might have 20 on them

$7

Might just as well grab some ostensible value and take the $67 Luxbet are offering for a 40+ win.

I have 20 bucks at $7.50 on the dees to add some interest to the game while i sit and watch from the members wing. Cant really lose. The risk is the cost of 2 pints at the Blazer bar The upside watching the faces of the Essendon supporters when we smack them agaist the odds It was a beautiful thing last yearI still have wonderful memeories

Im putting 400k on Melbourne

Dees are a great value bet I've got a cheeky $10 on them @ $8.00. Won the last 3 encounters and surely going to be firing this weekend. If they aren't then I'll need more than $10 to drown my sorrows.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
