Rodan at his average to best is superior to Bail, who played many games this year, that's who I think he will replace, I think there is room for him if he plays well.

Rodan replacement for Bail - now I've heard it all. Rodan's an explosive talent with poor endurance. Bail's main attribute is his endurance running.

Bail also just jumps into oppositions backs.....He gives away just so many frees......I do admire his desperation to get the ball but he must improve in a lot of areas if he is to make it....

Yes - and we got two young guns with pick #4 still to come.............

H

What did we just do?

We got rid of those that don't train or play to the standard that will push the club to the standard it is required to be at to win a premiership.

We got rid of those that do not possess the build or hunger for the contest required to win a premiership.

We gained experience of players that do know what is required of a premiership.

We gained mature bodies that can withstand the rigours and contests required of a premiership.

Hows it goin all... first time on here.

Im stoked at the changes and Dawesy is the only bloke I didnt hate at Collingwood.

With so many changes its hard to get everything right BUT.... I realise Rivers wanted to leave I just hope that we did everything possible to keep him.

Also I have no idea why we just gave Martin away ???? If Jamar goes down who would you rather Spencer or Martin??

Gawn and Spencer still have a long way to go. I would have thought Martin even as a third choice ruckman he would be beneficial to our list.

I wont miss Morton and Gysberts.

Will miss Bate. Would of loved to of seen him play in a forward line where he would be playing as the third or fourth tall.

I hope Davey and Col Sylvia have good years if so.... the dees should go alright next year I rekken.

Watch out for JACK WATTS next year !!

Love ya GREENY

Nothing new here that many posters would not already know however, this is a fairly good article from Pete Ryan on the subject. The loss of Gysberts and Morton in regards to basically receiving Pederson and Rodan is explained below.

His comments:

"Having said that, all list managers must remain flexible because value can depend on a club's specific need at any particular time.

This is essential because, as former coach of the San Francisco 49ers Bill Walsh - who took drafting to another level of sophistication - used to argue, teams should not worry too much about the value given away if they need a player to fill a role. He used to say it never mattered where they were picked, it only mattered how they played."

Dawes, Pederson, Rodan and Brynes are going to look so good if Mitch, Trengove, Sylvia, Jones, Grimes and Watts have great yeears.

And he cannot kick

Could not hit the side of barn at 30 metres!

You're not getting confused with Clint Bartrim are you? Makes Bail look like a highly skilled athlete.

Clints our No 1 ticket holder on 'Land.

Respect the lad.

At least he has a crack.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
