What if we win on Saturday night?

Featured Replies

If we win, me and the family will have a great day at the footy!

My daughters will see their first ever win at Subi and I'll put this Freo tanking idea out of my head and enjoy the train ride home for the first time since I don't remember when!

Interesting to hear them talking about this tonight on FC.

Thomas suggesting Freo will try and manipulate the result with the Dees to get the home final and Gary agreeing.

Its my hunch that no one will point at a Freo tank if they lose.

You don't [censored] with form leading into finals. Simple as that! Also there is NO chance whatsoever that we will win.

Essendon v Richmond round 22, 2001.

Freo will hope Geelong Lose and then they try to smash us to get the percentage to get above Geelong. Geelong can slip to eighth which could result in Freo hosting North and most likely West Coast Hosting Geelong. Even if Geelong win Freo would give themselves half a chance V Geelong most likely at Etihad.

Freo will smash us

Something to think about.

If Hawthorn beat WC on Friday eve (probable) and if Coll beat Essendon ( V probable) it may pan out better for Freo to lose on Sat eve against us , finish 8th, and play a home final against WC.

After the season from hell that would just about put the final nail in it for me. Between the beatings on the field and the beatings off it, we beat freo in the last game (when they're trying to lose) and give up both the better draft picks and Viney as a 2nd rounder. Would that create a "winning culture" for the future?

Tell me Im being paranoid.

Ross Lyon is a brilliant coach. He's not about to drop a game V Melbourne for any reason. Melbourne would be higher on the tree if G. Lyon had picked up the phone.

I heard a rumour this morning that most of the Freo players are very sick with food poisoning following their meal on their flight back to Perth last weekend.

It is unlikely that at least 12 of them will be well enough to play against us on Saturday.

What if we win? i'll be a happy man and get to sing the song at Subi for the first time in ages!

What if Twisties were made of Lego?

I would literally be [censored] bricks.

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.

It's Game Day, and reinforcements are finally arriving for the Demons—but will it be too little, too late? They're heading down the freeway to face a Cats side returning home to their fortress after two straight losses, desperate to reignite their own season. Can the Demons breathe new life into their campaign, or will it slip even further from their grasp?

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
