25 man squad.

neeld indicated that this week would be pretty much the best 22. Guess his going with that + 3 emergencies.

What are the rules for this game.?? NAB rules or normal season rules, can we make subs at half time Does any one know?????

Would hope that this is a further use of the practice arena to utilise the features of the squad.

Maybe more of a run at Casey at a lower level to fine tune and yes rest for round 1 if needed.

Probably needs to give Green a run

Paterns systems structures all need to be trialled. I hope we have more than one

We cannot play all players in every match I think rotation could be a good asset as long as we win a few games with the team and pattern we choose for the particular opponent.

Why was Watts dropped and Fitzgerald rested!

Because Watts is in the mix for round one Fitzpatrick is a back up ruckman that hopefully we don't see at AFL level this year, he has a rest then resumes his VFL preparation, hopefully Watts is on fire and gets on track for round 1

Is Sportingbet running odds for the Casey practice match this weekend? The Scorp's would have to be around $1.04 wouldn't they?

Really nice, solid squad , its taller and more mature than recent year. I really like it.

Yet it looks to have good upside with some "potential" sitting in the wings that have to prove themselves to get a game - both physically & mentally.

Makes me feel very positive that we are now heading in the right direction. I really like it.

PS Cant wait to get Viney & spend those Scully picks

I honestly think that squad looks slow. For every thoroughbred there are 2 clydesdales.

What does everyone think re the result of this game.

Last game of 2011 Port beat the Dees by 9 points but I never thought we looked like winning

New FD

very similar players to then

Dees average pre season form

Port looking better than 2011

Played in Adelaide

Result dees by 4 points

However zero confidence

Watts dropped no Gysberts Grimes or Tappy.

So will it will look something like this:

FB: Garland - Frawley - Bartram

HB: Rivers - Sellar - Bennell

C: Jones - Bate - Trengove

HF: Howe - Green - Petterd

FF: Davey - Clark - Dunn

R: Jamar - Moloney - Sylvia

I: Blease - Joel Mac - McDonald - Martin - Tynan - Couch - McKenzie

Not a weak team, and with the inclusion of Tappy, Magner, Grimes and Watts for Round 1, we are looking to have a decent team.

Perhaps you should prepare for some disappointment

Remember last game of 2011

Like it was yesterday OD! Fair bit has changed since then though i would think.

That is my worry Demonator.

The players are basicaly the same.

They have had only 3 games to totally change the way they play.

So far they have shown me little that they can excute the new plans.

Now I am wrapped if that happens on Friday

but I am not expecting anymore than a close win.

I just think we couldn't have been any lower at that stage last year and we only got pipped. I'm not saying we've all of a sudden become world beaters, but i just think 'enough' has changed for us to convincingly beat PA.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
