Don't be negative DC!

not being negative at all wyl

its just that so far we have seen nothing (i don't consider pre season training as any guide)

naturally i'm optimistic, but i'm not going to make predictions until i see "something"

Hang on... Wasn't this supposed to happen last year?

Yep. It didn't and the coach has been replaced.

I'll be very disappointed if we don't play a final this year mate.

Posted

Im going to say it now we will play finals this year we will finish 7th 13 wins with one win on the queens birthday.

Posted

I think we'll sneak in, but I also think it depends hugely on the development of the teams around us (eg Nth, Richmond, Essendon and Freo probably) and how teams go who might be sliding a bit (like, say Bullies and the Swans).

Posted

I try never to predict where we will finish because of looking at the draw. Lets face it anyone who looked at the 2011 draw and said we've done well we have Gold Coast twice and West Coast twice was wrong. It's not about beating the lower teams the games we need to win are those agaisnt the Roos, Dockers, Tigers, Saints, Bombers and Swans who will all be around where we are. Win the majority of those and pinch one or two against the top sides ane we make it.

Totally agree, we are in the middle of the pack and have been the last 2 years, to make the finals we will have to have a win against collingwood or geelong or one of the top 5 or so teams, then we need to win more than we loose against oother teams around the middle like essendon north richmond and then beat GWS port brisbane and the other teams at the bottom, as for my opinion I think we will finsh very similar to last year and the year before that, a game or 2 out of the eight but I would love to be proven wrong and we are starting to run out of excuesses

I reckon the club is quietly confident, and keen to keep the lid firmly on till the real stuff starts.

Ox has smelt the vibe and i reckon is spot on.

If we can hold our game plan during the tough first half of the season, we shall be rolling in the second half, and we have enough depth to endure injuries, and form slumps to ensure we keep rolling...

Perhaps 2011 was another 1999, meaning...
