Injury List Round 1?

Featured Replies

Just curious, barring further injuries, who's likely not to be available for selection come round one?

Hmm here's what I think you're looking at.

James Strauss 1-2 weeks (leg)

Max Gawn season (knee)

Jack Grimes 1-9 week (long expansive ridiculously uncommon injury)

Colin Sylvia 1 week (whiplash)

Jack Watts 1 week (acting career)

Tom Scully career (knee).

There's only one on the list I'm hoping for!

LOL

Jake Spencer - mid season (knee)

With the new look football department in place next year would it be too much to expect some transparency and accuracy in things like the official club injury list?

I'm going to hope that Round 1 will show us only 2 names on the list. Strauss and Gawn. If we have a really good run on injuries we could se some action in September.

Thanks guys. A couple have had surgery though right? Jurrah is one, but I forget the other. Anyone know who they are and if they'll be fit for round one? I have something (that is secret) riding on this...

tapscott due to be healthy for round 1?

Apparently is due back training by mid January. Take it with a grain of salt though.

I believe that Jurrah, according to reports, is also meant to be ready to go after the Christmas break.

Nick Smith 4-6 weeks (whatever)

You beat me to it. LOL. :-)

Its 12 weeks away????

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
