Trade Week Radio

Featured Replies

For those not content with the trade news on Demonland, the AFL has set up Trade Week Radio on their site. Now you will be able to listen to the one trade done each day discussed ad nauseum. I can already feel the tension as they wait for the next trade to be done. Can you imagine the suspense as we wait for the next trade and on days where there is no deal done the prognostications will be absolutely riveting. Oh lord let this week go on forever.

Didn't they have this last year?

Not sure. If they did I will try and get a copy of the entire broadcast and listen to it at night to put me to sleep.

Didn't they have this last year?

Nope, they had trade week radio in 2009 for some reason didn't do it in 2010.

I'll be listening ;)

It will work in TuneIn Radio if you put the web address in, assuming TWR has one.

If someone can post the link here, that'd be great.

My trade week fever is building to a crescendo already.

Thanks, but I already have the app.

I meant the trade week radio link.

The AFL haven't put it up yet.

Has anyone on this thread understood that I was being facetious and sarcastic in my enthusiasm of AFL Radio?

Nice. Although it can't be any more tedious than what we've endured the last 7 days. I reckon this this the worst week of the footy calendar. We sit and watch some other team celebrate winning the flag, and are subjected to a pituful few morsels of news on who 'might' be on the trade table, with no ability to actually have any trades completed until Monday at the earliest. And yet I still check Demonland every day to see if Michael Newton and a fourth round pick has been enough to entice Essendon to give up Michael Hurley.

Lucky you, I check every few hours. What a pathetic life I lead.

Noted, but I will be very busy next week, so it will actually be more convenient for me to hear (as opposed to read) the trade info as I'm going to see clients.

I'll probably just listen to SEN in the end.

Trade Week radio was definitely on last year.

I'm just wondering if it's capable of being listened to on an iPhone and whether you would need a special application?

Yes apologies "W_J " there was trade week radio last year, I made a mistake!!

I'm sure plenty of ppl will be constantly making updates on demonland of any rumours etc released on TWR!!

Thanks Treners.

Perhaps if someone has the time, they can keep up a running commentary on what the programme's covering. Looking at my schedule tomorrow, I think my only chance to catch up will be during lunchtime. (I guess it's sandwiches tomorrow then).

Tim Harrington coming up on trade week radio!!

I'd be very surprised if we found out any new information from his appearance.

As expected, no information. Well, back to work I suppose.

It will work in TuneIn Radio if you put the web address in, assuming TWR has one.

Can anyone get this working... im having no luck...

Me either.... it's lame

Yes it is. I wouldn't even bother.

Is anyone finding that Trade Week Radio is not working today? I usually use Internet Explorer, not working. I downloded Google Chrome and is still not working.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
