Tom Scully in September ...

That's very disappointing.

where is RPFC?

He should now be forever known as Tom $cully.

I even flirted with the idea of a little "cents" symbol for the "c".

He's gone.

Good luck to him.

Now let's get back to focusing on our next premiership.

The playing group should not accept this. It is not just one game next season that they will need to make a stand, it is seasons to come. He did the best thing for himself, which in turn, has hurt the Melbourne Football Club, MY football club. The current playing group MUST draw this "line" in the sand.

While the sky is still well above us, and will be in the same spot tomorrow, this is a very dark day for the Melbourne Football Club. We need to get Ross Lyon or Mick Malthouse, otherwise I strongly believe we will hit rock bottom for the next decade.

Can't wait for melb vs GWS.

Beamer will bury him and tell him to gettttt f'd

then tapscot will clean him up and tell him to get f'd.

na na naaaa na, na na naaa na, ehhhhhhhhehhehhhhh GOOOODBYE!!!

Don't know why everyone is so upset, he's played mostly average games haha

and now we're gonna get good compo for a so far average player.

Enjoy the falafals, Tom. Can't wait to see you at the G in the future

How many membership renewals are being sent back to the club today?

When he plays Melbourne next year we should all throw monopoly money at him.

Seriously though, the way that he's handled this has been extremely poor, to notify the club while he was in Sydney is absolutely disgraceful. Look at how Davis and ward did it in comparison, those two players took the money but they did it was integrity and grace. They looked their club in the eye and did it the hard way. Scully though scampered up to Sydney and made the announcement up there.

Weak as [censored].

Okay. I need to know something... Do we get 5 years to use our draft picks??? Cause obviously we are going to lose our first round pick for Jack Viney next year and it's regarded as a strong draft. Where as this year is regarded as a weak draft.

Someone please help

6 Million over 5 years and 2 Million up front.

Would any of you knock back 2 million dollars going into your bank account?

He knew when he pulled out of the last game V Port,he'd played his last game at the G,and avoided all the last game with the boys stuff in Adelaide.

Vlad giveth and vlad taketh away.

So anyone else still believe this mercenary is a kid with integrity and good character? The little [censored] has lied to our faces all year culminating in his "just going up to have a look around" comments yesterday. I can see now why Sheedy rates him so highly he is a man after his own heart.

Footy Classified will be interesting. I really want to see Garry come out firing then give us some positive news on the coach front.

Small 20 year old with a baulky knee that can't kick. I think we dodged a bullet

At last! Some reality.

Well said UC>

Losing a Trengove or a Watts is my idea of disaster. Not this contrived crap from the AFL/GWS/SCully camp.

Bring on Ross Lyon

It was obvious months ago that Scully would be gone

Who can blame the kid if you got offered that much money wouldnt you?

However as a Melbourne supporter I am extremely disappointed still in a number of aspects

The speculation about Scully throughout the season was damaging .

The amount of money Scully is to get is absurd !

The AFL is responsible for this in more ways then one

My last comment is held for how we obtained Scully and what we as supporters endured in the hope of landing him . Just goes to show that it doesnt pay.

The Melbourne Football Club must put this all behind them now. Land a Better than just Good Coach.

The Players must learn about Pride in their club and never say die . Even if you are getting thrashed the next coach must install in them that Pride.

It is a Marvelous tool and all I can say is maybe just maybe if Scully had had pride in his club he would never have gone. But he has so now we must deal with it and the MFC needs to stand up to the AFL

and obtain the best deal they can for our club out of this sorry Saga

How many membership renewals are being sent back to the club today?

Not mine.

The club showed good sense in not upping the ante any more.

If he had stayed it would have only been for the money - not the club.

Lets put our focus back on the current players and getting a coach who can take us to a flag(s)

We must go as hard as GWS did for Scott Pendlebury next year.. We NEED to land a big fish.

Edited by Clanger King

Scully gone yep taken the cash, who can blame him really...

It is now time for MFC to make a stand for ONCE!!! In regards to the compensation imagine if it was collingwood who lost a number 1 draft pick after 2 yrs, the up roar. MFC Stand up and be counted, show some fight, show some leadership, stop being constantly walked over and putting up with second best!

How many membership renewals are being sent back to the club today?

Mine won't be.

I'll be signing up early.

Solidarity, this could be the kick up the ass this great club needs to rise back to the top of the game it created.

GO DEES!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
