Call me stupid but I still had $51.00 in my Sportsbet account and, you guessed it. I invested $50.00 on the dees. Stamp DH on my forehead.

Next time Bbo just stick it in an envelop and post it to me.

I think the MFC need to funds more.

Not a good year in so many ways.

On a brighter note think we will finish second or third last this year as last place will surely be given to the Drug Lords.

Poor old Messendon their GOD (Hird) has let them all down so badly.

I hate drugs in sport and it looks like we will not see much of cycling for years to come as the sport appears to be much worse the anything Messendon has done.

I now have about $1 my account plus the sense not to top it up until approx 2021.

I reckon we are a chance around then bbo hope I am still alive to see it.

Surely 2023 will be a better year for the MFC as the stars will be in our favour.

apparently Mr Hird was a way of keeping yourself younger for Longer. No sure you may like the side effects but I guess what ever it takes to see the 13th Premiership must be a good thing?

should've put it on shane Watson to lead our bowling attack for the next 5 years without injury

Definately won't see that in my lifetime TBF

Best I can hope for is a strong team on and off the field.

Winning more games than losing is about the best I can hope for unfortunately.

An admirable show of faith, BBO. Pity about the result, but the boys did respond with their lowest losing margin of the year. Gotta count for something, I guess, such as it is this year...

Not much in my book R&B

A loss is a loss is a loss is a loss.......................

What a wonderful communication tool club surveys are.

Allows one to convey all sorts of info back to the club  and I was civil but curt ^_^

wonder if any of the negative stuff ever gets to where it ought ?? lol

I did mine too bb

very similar civil but curt covers it.

I think they would be surprised if they got much positive after the last two years

Tanking

Sacked coach who was poor

Half the board gone.

CEO sacked

Big Fin loss coming up

playing list that could not beat time with a stick.

No Fun watching this team for over 44 games.

Prospects for 2014 dismal

Don't think they would need a survey to know that the troops are far from happy.

Not sure why you would do one at present.

I took advantage of the opportunity to convey a message to the Membership people.

I simply told them that if the club appoints another apprentice type assistant as coach to simply cancel my membership and to convey this sentiment to whomever should hear it.

sick to death of this clubs amateurism

So you scathed away.

Well scathing doesnt necessarily infer profane. Scathing can mean harshly critical and ...yes.... Red...I was.

In the context of the nature of the survey I let the loaded barrels go bang !!

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.
