I went though our list last night I came up with the following list of players that I would shed in the next few weeks.

Now there are a couple on here that may be unlucky because they are out of contract.

In no particular order

Jetta, Nicholson, Gillies, Tynan, Davis, Sellar and the following retirees in Roden, J Mac and Davey.

Nine in total.

If there was a chance I would trade out any of Jamar, Tappscott, Bail, Blease, Byrnes Pedersen and Strauss.

Unfortunately there is probably only Jamar that would attract interest and then not much in value for the MFC.

What is everyone's opinion.

IMO I wouldn't delist someone like Tynan who is still young and developing, same for Taggert.

Flash, Joel Mac and Rodan have retired.

I would delist/trade Jetta, Gillies, Byrnes, Bail, Sellar if you keep Pedersen, Tapscott, Nicholson, Jamar and Strauss.

I would keep Blease and develop him. I would give Davis another year unless you were offered a trade.

That is 12 players, that is a big turnover on the senior list.

Rookies Magner and Couch are probably also gone.

I seriously doubt it would be 12 Redleg, like you I think that is too many in one hit.

To get rid of 12 you have to find 12 that are better 6 to 8 maybe achievable but I doubt 12.

think Byrnes is contracted for 14 Red

think Byrnes is contracted for 14 Red

I will pay him out.

I f he takes one game off Kent I would be furious.

I will pay him out.

lol

think Byrnes is contracted for 14 Red

I think he was suggesting a possible trade bb

But seriously who would be interested?

We have seven I would like to trade but I doubt there would be more than one taker.

Jamar might get a little interest but that is about it.

I will make a $50 donation to the fund redleg

Now for more good News the Mighty Falcons are playing for a spot in the WAFL Grand final on Sunday.

I am hoping for more good wins for the red and blue war machine.

Amen to that TBF

Are you going?

PS The mighty Norwood Redlegs are on top by two games and percentage with one game to go.

Looking good.

I am not sure if I can get there this week end as the wife away at her gold mine so may not head home this week end.

But will watch it on TV if I can.

I remember driving for 24 hours to see them win the 1995 Flag (previous win was 1975) and they were the underdogs. How great is a Grand Final win especial when it takes a few years to achieve!

The Falcons finished second but one win more then the second and four teams.

Claremont has always been our boggy team (Jessie Hogan is from Claremont).

Is it too much to ask for a real coach at the MFC and a Flag in the WAFL all in the same year?

I tend to always support any team that has Blue and Red regardless of the sport.

no it is not too much to ask

no it is not too much to ask

Then I say "C'mon the CARDIES!"

(until 1981 the West Perth FC was called the Cardinals then changed their name to Falcons)

The venom against us by the other clubs in respect to the PP is just amazing.

Brad Scott could barely control himself.

Eddie said we need to get rid of it and just have an equal competition. You are 100% right Eddie. From now on every team gets 2 friday nights. Pies have to play at Skilled stadium every year. Pies play in Perth twice each year and no more 18 games at the G. Pies play at 4.40 against an interstate side on mother's day.

Yeah Eddie lets make it a fair competition.

He from Collingwood do we care what those guys say?

I have little time for that Club ever since they carried on little spoilt children after a GF loss to the Brisbane Bears and would not let a player attend their Fairest & Best Awards Night because he want to go home to his family.

But the day they beat us by 80 points and then their thugs, I mean Supporters, beat up the father of one of our young players, now that will live in my memory forever.

Class Act Eddie, now go and FO and tell someone who cares what you think, because none of us in MFC do!

Think I will sent a picture of our Premiership Cup to Eddie for an Xmas Present in a few years time.

They are the worst Club Ever and I want Roos to give us a team that will Smash them in every game we play them.

How did we not win more games?

I was so pumped after watching this.

LOL

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
