Daisy's defence tonight was the funniest thing I have heard this week.

"I was trying to hit the ball"

Daisy did you look at the footage before you shot off your mouth.

The ball was 6 -7 metres away by the time you swung your arm!

Great footballer but half a brain.

gee, thats really sad

and i was so looking forward to watching him get towelled up on monday

Me too DC I will probably cry myself to sleep tonight.

Great footballer but half a brain.

Bet he found the ruling 'dissapointing'

The Filths best player got 1 week for a punch to the head from behind ,Campbell Brown 3 when he should have got 6 .

Jack Trengrove is owed $900 and three games of his career back from the AFL .

No wonder we played bruise free football after that .

We only gave the Blues the points in return for giving us Gysberts .

We should thank the game of basketball for Watts ,Gysberts and Martin as well .

Adrian Anderson talks a lot about the "integrity" of the game. If the administrators really cared about the game then they would look into whether Thomas' evidence was satisfactory. Perhaps an extra two matches might be appropriate if a player is found to have tried to cheat by giving unsatisfactory evidence. That's if they're really interested in the integrity of the game.

hahahaha he tried "to knock the ball away" baaaaaaaaaahahahahaahhahaha

micky, cmon, lying is cheating...

Haha. Indeed.

It's our home game, we want as many people and Collingwood supporters as possible.

I agree - as many human beings and Collingwood supporters as possible

One thing that might help him, is Jones' lip gets cut right before he gets punched, it wasn't from the punch. Not sure if that will have anything to do with it, but I noticed it last night.

Yeah I heard on the news they are arguing Jones had a cold sore that was bleeding.

  • AFLW REPORT: West Coast

Melbourne’s response to last week’s heartbreak was emphatic, as the Demons delivered a statement win over West Coast at a windswept Casey Fields. All of the pre-match hype surrounded the coach’s box matchup of Mick Stinear up against his apprentice, Daisy Pearce along with the gloomy weather forecast. In the end, it was less about tactical chess and more about Melbourne’s relentless execution. With rain looming, the DeeArmy and early birds snapped up the best undercover viewing spots.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.
