They don't say that he has suffered any sort of impairment though. Daily monitoring would be a standard part of the treatment for such an injury. They're trying very hard to make it sound worse than it is.

It shows that we don't believe it's dangerous to tackle this way or else we wouldn't tackle this way at training, thus risking injury to our own players.

No TinnArse, we teach them to go in half-hearted and hope like all hell that our players don't get injured....

how the F... can you tackle someone these days? cant tackle their legs its tripping, cant go around their arms.... head high etc so you have a 1 foot gap to hit them where it has zero impact on them....and their disposal etc this is a joke

Mark Macgugan: Ball highlighting that Dangerfield was in a kicking motion as he was tackled. His leg comes through and misses the ball, which contributes to the momentum with which he falls towards the ground. Trengove also loses his footing, giving him less control as he carries out the tackle.

Cracking response to the You Tube video

Ball being questioned by Tinney now. Tinney: Dangerfield looked helpless.

I'm sure he meant "Hopeless"

Mark Macgugan: Trengove: As he grabbed the ball, I grabbed his hand. Reason for doing that was to prevent him from handballing. Next thought was he'd then try and kick it. To prevent him from doing that I pulled him back, as taught by the club.

Mark Macgugan: Trengove says he is aware of his duty of care to other players. Doesn't believe he did anything wrong in this tackle. Says he was technically correct, and didn't use excessive force.
