Is this the loss we needed?

Is this the end of the season? Or could it mark the beginning?

Sure we lost by huge numbers to Hawthorn. But our club blamed the loss on the fact that Hawthorn were a "premiership team". This time the loss is against the eagles, a team we could hardly liken to as a powerhouse.

The footy dept. now has no excuse, the result cannot be justified. Indeed we have gone back to 2008 as Garland stated.

But i believe this is what we truly needed, we needed a hammering so we could finally learn a lesson.

I dont know about you guys. But I'm looking forward to the Adelaide game to see a rejuvenated dees side, willing to provide intensity to make up for last night.

I said something similar in another post - that the next two weeks will be more telling of where we are at because in reality we were never in with a chance against an in form Eagles with their experienced premiership players up and about again at Subi especially given they beat us at home last year when we had some form. Still can't see it making much of a difference though but will try my best to wait until mid-season before giving up...

...if only Watts had taken a few more of his chances to take a mark inside fifty and kicked a few more goals then I could have drawn one positive from that game. Jack Darlings peformance just rubbed it in our face...

How players react when under scrutiny is not as important as how they play when the scrutiny is small. They should not allow themselves to be in the position they are now in. The next couple weeks don't mean shite now, because they have shown their flaws.
