I'm not entirely sure it's something to be proud of....

but hey, sometimes you provide entertainment with your 'comments'....(if one can call it that)

...only in small doses though.

A great 'rags to riches' story and a fantastic fella to boot. Well done Rush, I look forward to your next 100, and a Flag thrown in would be just reward.

I saw that he was playing his 100th on the footy show last night and couldn't believe it - it feels like he should be playing his 200th he's been around for so long! Has any player ever turned his game around as much as the Russian has? Would have been happy to have delisted him 2 years ago - wouldn't trade him for anyone now! (ok maybe Cox and Sandilands at once :) )

People can take my comments any way they like HT, with all the madness i have been through i shouldn't even be here. i just call things as i see and feel them. i am not always right, but then who is?

Talking of entertainment, i do miss the left field views of YM! Out of all of us he is still the only poster i have seen printed in the newspaper!! B)

Many of us have been doubters......some very bad calls in there. Good on ya big Ruski for 100 games for the red and blue.

...

Great pick up their Rock n roll. I will admit to having called him "Donuts" a couple of times early in his career. But he did have the attributes of a potentially good big man. Contested marking and use of his body in ruck contests were always there. He is dangerous up forward and he has a great goalkicking accuracy over his career(43.17) over 70%.

http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/accuracy.html

Note: Aussie and LJ look very good on the stats for accuracy.

But from early 2007 onward, I could not see how many people got so excited about PJ. Greatest tease of big man ever.

Anyway, maintain the standard Jamar. Well done.

The greatest turn around I've ever seen in a player, I don't even want to look at the stuff I once said about him (though I can remember most of it and fall asleep with tears of guilt cascading onto my pillow every night).

Should be the poster boy for what hard work and perseverance can do.

Has taught me to keep a little glimmer of hope for any struggling big blokes, rather than completely write them off and bag them to Moscow and back.

Edit: and congrats big man! Hope to see 100 more.

Very interesting. Deserves to be rewarded for his loyalty. Stayed with the DEES who only offered a 1 year deal rather than go to Port who offered a 2 year deal. All he needed was to be told he was in our best 22.

WELL DONE Mark.

He flew to China late after attending a wedding & played after flying all night. He was stuffed but gave his all.

All the very best for tonight.

That is why i have never been a fan of the long contract (4 years +) Mark Jamar raised his own level, after he was obviously told "Yes we want you, but you still have to prove your on going worth" The Club made him feel Hungry. Good way to do business for both sides of the deal.

The Russian took his time, then hurried up. You are now looking at a premier ruckman playing his 100th game of footy.

I look forward to his next 50 games.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
