That is a joke IMO

What should it be ?

Round 13 1993. A game that I won't ever forget, and this week makes me scared to make the trek to Brisbane

Yes still have nightmares about it.

What should it be ?

I think $5 is about right

It is unfortunate that Dees supporters cannot be confident of any game no matter what the odds

I tend to have nightmares when we are short quoted

Im really hoping we can build some percentage while we can

That game came to mind to me also this week and we went into that game in good form.

I get the feeling that Jurrah may be moving a little further up the list in the chase for the Coleman Medal, if this match-up goes ahead:

(from The Australian via the MFC website)

GOLD Coast coach Guy McKenna said yesterday developing defender Karmichael Hunt was an option to oppose Melbourne match-winner Liam Jurrah

Please oh please let this match up be true. Jurrah will kick 10 on him. Oh lord.

I can't see us losing this one but I suppose I won't be shocked if we did.

However given the pressure is on us to show we can play 4 quarters, we won't be seeing us ease up. Bailey will be onto it.

How about Round 5, 1987?

You're kidding me $5 is good value!

Every single Melbourne player would get a game playing for GC whereas about 8 GC players would start for Melbourne.

And, they haven't been a team like us for as long as us. I'll give them 5 dollar odds in round 23 but I'll give you $10 odds if you'd like them.

Best odds are obtained by live betting and waiting til they are down by approx 18 points.

Usually achievable by about 20 mins game time into the second quarter.

I have made my fortune this way

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
