Bailey out? Get a grip, the players are the ones who should hang their heads in shame after that third quarter. Nothing Bailey could do when the game is played in Hawthorn's 50.

Maric was average yet again. Would be surprised if he survived.

OUT - Maric played fantastic pre season but when it counts FAIL

IN - Gysberts, because he proved himself last season, and he is proving himself in the VFL. & We need someone like Wonna, so Wonna is back in also.

Not happy at all with Melbourne today, MFC are lucky not to lose by 20 goals, thank the football gods the Hawks could not kick straight.

its baileys job to make sure the players dont get complacent! make an example of players who make silly errors. when i played footy, if you made a mistake you were dragged and spoken to. simple.he is responsible for player behaviour. he is the coach.

I'm sorry, nothing he could do?! He is the coach and has been working with them for 3 1/2 years! Why do you think the game was played in Hawthorn's 50? Lack of good planning and structure.

Jones won't get dropped, don't ask me why, he just won't.

Maric shouldn't be dropped, horrible choice to use a forward pocket as the sub.

Yeah right. There is nothing in what he says that inspires. The team would start a qtr, any qtr better if he did. I'm yet to see one since he's been in charge.

Worse sides than us play better from a coaches inspiration.

Jones is no good, I cant believe how many opportunities he gets for a senior player..

Gys for Jones

Wona for Petterd

Petterd???? Oh boy.

Maric barely had a chance, he was subbed on while the hawks where well on top. And whilst on got a bit of the ball.

Maric a proper chance to prove him self.

Maric barely had a chance and actually did a couple of good things with some hard running in the last quarter. Can't drop him on the basis of tonight. Whose stupid idea was it to use a forward pocket as a sub???

Out Jetta - made too many mistakes at crucual times of the game.

In - Gysberts or Wonna if either fit enough.

If Garland is injured how about Tom MacDonald? Please, pleae, please no Juice!!! Icouldn't stomach this.

Out Jones, Garland, Maric

In Wonaeamirri(super sub), Gysberts, Newton(try him down back, we've seen enough of Macdonald and Warnock) One question though. Why has Warnock stalled after looking so good a few years back?

I spoke to Cale Morton today before the game and he said he was banging down the coaches box to play this week, said he will definately play next week

INS - Morton, Wonna, Macdonald, Gysberts

OUTS - Maricc, Garland :( , Jetta, Jones

Consider yourself very lucky Grimes!!

How bad is the Garland injury?

For me Jones continues to struggle in his primary role as an inside midfielder. I'd drop him and bring in Gysberts. We have to start to develop more options in the middle because we clearly don't have enough. Bail has been very good this year in that role, and Gysberts showed glimpses last year. He had a good game in the VFL by all reports, so he's in.

If Garland is badly injured then McDonald comes in. We can't afford Rivers and Warnock in the same line up IMO.

Maric could get dropped for Aussie, but I suppose he deserves more than 1.5 games to prove his worth.

In: Gysberts, McDonald (if needed)

Out: Jones, Garland (if injured).

Lucky we are playing Brisbane next week!

Edit: after reading the above, Morton comes in if fit. Bring in some class!!!

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
