forgot to say, I am trying to find out why the MFC footy department directed tom scully not to keep his commitment to demonland on february 20, and I will post the reason on here....

Wasn't a biggie

As a sponsor I can request his attendance at one event a year. I sent the request through to MFC regarding this event and thus the post that he could attend. Speaking to the corporate people about the request and after a week the FD mentioned their concerns because they try to ensure the guys get Sunday off especially in the off season. I also txt Tom who mentioned he had a day off and a family event to attend. I then post that he couldn't attend.

The club came back to confirm what was occurring and if he was required to play because of training loads and injuries etc etc. By the look of it he could of been made to attend the event but personally I see the boys working every weekend during the season and after Tom told me about his family event I told the club we can rearrange. So with insistence he would of attended but I choose not to push it.

I'm always happy to donate his attendance at an event run by bigfooty or demonland for Melbourne fans but just this one go....

"I should be available to play..."

have to consult my records, mick...

but I think if you play on february 20, you and doggo (if he turns up sober and is allowed to play)... :o ...will beat oxxx's record for the most forum footy games ever played for the red and blue...

and you will both be the only guys on the field who played in that first (remarkable, unforgettable) game against saintsational... :o

with a wet sail, and a genuine VFL player, they kicked 2 million goals in the last quarter, but we won by a point and an independent and unbiased goal umpy, to this day, stands by his decision... :)

Great memories from that 1st match Rollo! It's been a few years now hasn't it? I'm about a million kegs heavier than when we first started these games.

Unfortunately i won't be playing this year (or anytime soon). Battling some pretty bad chronic tendonitis in my left knee. Think this might be the end for this former Vin Catoggio Medalist's long and distinguished Demonland career, often marred by inconsistency, injuries, weight management and "off-field" issues... ;)

want to come and support the team from the side-lines ??

Against my better judgement I'll play if the numbers are crocked. Otherwise will stay in the commentary booth/assistant coaching.

hey, supermercado...

you are not the only bloke on here who can't count...

I have had pm's suggesting we cancel because our numbers are poor...

count them, please...

we have about 30 - 20 from here and 10 from demonology - and talkingcarlton have 13 at the moment...

please don't bring your footy boots...

judgment - Traditionally, the word has been spelled judgment in all forms of the English language. However, the spelling judgement (with e added) largely replaced judgment in the United Kingdom in a non-legal context. In the context of the law, however, judgment is preferred. This spelling change contrasts with other similar spelling changes made in American English, which were rejected in the UK. In the US at least, judgment is still preferred and judgement is considered incorrect by many American style guides.

Not to be pedantic in an otherwise unrelated thread BUT I did look up the correct spelling, and quoth the Oxford Style Guide...

In British English, the spelling judgment is correct when referring to a court's or judge's formal ruling, whereas the spelling judgement is used for other meanings

Seems to me that it's the Americans who like to drop the E every time. I would say at the very least both are acceptable spellings.

Update - What deevoted said first..
