I agree but we have quite a few players representing our club who only play in the VFL and probably are not good enough for that. Couldn't do any worse - not suggesting a high draft pick.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned it but Mitch Thorp is back in this years draft. Mitch was taken in the first round by Hawthorn as a 17 year old but a combination of poor attitude and the usual injuries to young players saw him leave after 3 years. He returned to South Launceston, a poor performing team in the Tasmanian state wide comp, learnt his lessons and 2 years later took over as playing coach. 2 years on and South were minor premiers after recruiting from the local leagues. Yesterday Mitch won the Tassie medal for best player in the state wide league and his team won the premiership over last years premiers Burnie, who had our own Robbo and ex bomber Jason Laycock playing. Mitch is 194 cm, 94 kg mid / high forward who can go all day, take a good mark, kick bags of goals and has obvious leadership qualities. He is only 24 and would worth talking to at least.

I feel sorry for Monty who gave an excellent post but has been overwhelmed by all the other dribble posted here. You really are a frustrated lot aren't you! Don't bother firing back because I won't be reading.

Just so Monty doesn't think he was the only one there last night, I was too. Main differences between the 2 sides was that Hawthorn cranked it up after half time and we didn't. Badly beaten to the ball all second half. Lost count of the number of times we got clean hands to the ball in marking contests and dropped it. Same old problem with kick ins during second half when hawthorn applied some pressure. Watched Watts closely and he worked bloody hard. Competed well and blocked their ruckman allowing our man to get clean knock several times, particularly in the backline. Tapscott is a footballer, no wide eyed wonderment about him.

Rollo, Tassie Dee's father here. I tried to join Demonology but no luck. My son is currently swanning around somewhere in the U S and not back till late next week. He may be available to play but it could be hard for him to get his 'team' together with such little time. Its a pity that a few other Demonology members couldn't swap words for actions and help out.
