No love for Demons in 2011 Brownlow Medal betting

Dude, below even your standards.... Come on. You get unfairly criticized sometimes but that was weak

If you read what he wrote, it strictly does not make sense.

You can figure out what he meant if you want to go to the trouble of thinking for him.

He's the one who began sledging.

Derailing multiple threads with sniping and off-topic conversation (slanging matches) is getting really tiresome.

From Sportsbet.com.au

Jamar $81

Davey $81

Green $101

Petterd $101

Jetta $101

Scully $151

Sylvia $151

Frawley $201

Morton $201

Moloney $251

Grimes $251

Trengove $251

The rest are paying $501 or more.

Interesting to see that sportsbet are predicting a good year from Neville Jetta :)

Jetta is training the housedown..no wonder he is this price..I stated he looked fantastic at training on the 3rd December

But above Sylvia?

(insert facepalm photo here)

Not to mention Scully, Grimes, Trengove, Frawley... half the bloody team!

It's gotta be a mistake.

I'll give everyone on here odds of $10,000,000 on Jamar right now. Minimum bet is $100.

My thoughts also.

I thought maybe Lewis Jetta or even Leroy (stop laughing!) but they don't make sense either...

Good call.

I'd say it's gotta be.

Yes, yes. Credit is yours.

They have obviously confused Neville with Lewis.

Even Lewis wouldn't be rated that highly.

Jurrah isn't on the list - must be him.

Sylvia is getting my punt. Probably $20. For a $3000 payout considering I believe he is gonna take it to another level this year. Obviously there is a lot of factors besides form incl injury, reported. But I still think its worth a go. LJ on coleman is quite tempting too.

If Sam Blease is still eligible for the Rising Star Award next year, then i'd definately consider wagering a few dollars on him winning it.

He could definately give David Swallow and the Other Gold Coast kids a run for their money.

I'm not sure why, but i just think that once Blease finally breaks into the senior team, that he won't be out of it again any time soon- i'm more excited aboot how he'll go next year than any other of our youngsters!!

I'll be on Sylvia too thanks

Blease for the NAB is a better bet than Sylvia for the Brownlow.

Sylvia in 2012/13, when we're genuine competitors.

Might have said the same about Woey at this moment in '99. Will never forget wandering into the TAB and thinking "Yes, I think I'll have a fiver at 200-1"

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
