@Macca that catch was amazing, but for me the turning point was cook catch and fumble. He does it way too often, even when he was with the Rams. Gave all the momentum to the Buccs and all turnovers were within 25yrds. The saints threw points at them.

The other to a lesser degree was the penalty when they returned the kick from Harris and the loss of Harris for the game, he was great the week before and the saints had all the early momentum.

RG3 being thrown around as a possible back up QB to put pressure on Goff.

Not sure he would, not like he has played for years. Reckon Wolford would offer more pressure.

Tampa Bay 21 @ Green Bay 30

Buffalo 23 @ Kansas City 31

Is it just me or if you were a Bills player would you not give up the personal foul and smash your helmet straight into Mahomes helmet to see how the head is if he plays?

Packers 34 - Bucs 27

Bills 30 - Cheifs 27 (in OT, bonus point Macca ??)

Pack 7-12

Bills 1-6

Good luck @Macca! I’m cheering Rodgers and the boys on!

Apprehensively confident* we'll get over the line Gorg but I'm always aware that in this sport 2 errors can lead to 14 points

That's the beauty of the NFL ... no game is parcelled up until it's done.  Steelers found that out the hard way with their errors against the Browns

So if GB have zero turnovers and Rodgers is at his best we should be good enough to win.  But Tampa could have a day where everything goes right for them on offence ... if that happens they probably win

But for the neutrals the QB match-up is something to look forward to.  40% chance of snow with a crowd of 6500 allowed into Lambeau

*Is there such a thing as apprehensively confident?  haha

There is mate, I live there. Dees can be up by 60 and I’m still nervous ?

If Rodgers is kept clean you win easily. If not then it’s tighter. Saints turned it over 4 times, 3 within 20yrds, that’s what killed them.

5/5 on 3rd down in the first qtr. where was this loose coverage and missed tackles last week!

7 from 10 now which is a poor ratio on defence.  Brady should have been intercepted (the corner didn't commit) on that last TD drive before half time after that Rodgers throw was intercepted.  2 errors within minutes

2nd fumble by Jones costly as well.  They have targeted him because of his lack of size ... the ball pops out accordingly.  Points conceded as a consequence.

Brady knows how to take advantage like no other.

28 - 17 now but we need to curtail Brady (somehow)

28 - 23 now but Brady & Tampa will probably get at least 2 chances to score points.  And Rodgers maybe only the 1 time if Tampa eat up the clock

Unless there is an error/turnover from either team that leads to a score

I didn’t like the call going for 2, means if they get a FG here you need a TD and 2pt con.

Johnson makes some big catches last few weeks

MASSIVE PICK!!!

Brady's receivers have now dropped a few catches ... or through the hands

Agreed ... tactically it was a poor percentage play going for 2

That was Brady at fault I reckon. Bad throw. Or Evans was meant to be further down the field but got held up with the slight grab at the start of the route.

Massive rush!!! Forced the pick! Huge play.

And GB can't make the most of it ... twice

GB running game not a factor ... we've reverted to kind.  Jones is too small,  gets hit hard,  out of the game.  We needed a running game on the last 2 drives

8 point game now (should be 7)

31-23

So the Packers need a TD & a 2 point conversion just to tie things up.  4:33 left in the game

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
